Do you own a Ford Transit, Transit Custom or Ranger with the 2.0 Ecoblue engine? Did you know we offer wet belt replacements on these vehicles.
The timing belts on these engines are immersed in oil. The problem with this is the oil will degrade the rubber cambelt and over time will eat away at this unlike a traditional timing belt. This can be even worse if regular servicing or maintenance is ignored or the wrong oil is used.

We have seen these fail much sooner than the recommended interval for replacement resulting in the need for a replacement engine! We recommend replacing these now at 80k miles or less (especially if your unsure over the vehicles service history).

Does your vehicle have a TPMS light which won't reset even when your tyre pressures are correct or do you have a message about a faulty tyre pressure monitor. Did you also know if your vehicle is 2012 or newer not only is this message annoying but also an MOT fail!

These fail for a number of reasons. The most common is these have a battery inside them which can't just be replaced. We see these last typically upto around 10 years old and then they will often fail with no reason other than a failed battery. Luckily we have you covered. If you have a faulty TPMS sensor we carry replacements in stock and with the latest diagnostic equipment we can program these to your car.

We can often do these the same day as we carry most variants in stock!

Is your car overdue a service?

This photo was taken by us recently where a vehicle was driven in with a running fault. The vehicle had been neglected & missed several services, causing very poor oil condition with a build-up of carbon deposits. This had caused a total blockage of oil to the turbocharger, resulting in its premature failure. This costly bill could have been prevented had the vehicle been serviced regularly.

Service requirements can change based on age & mileage, so keeping on top of your service routine isn’t always easy. Some manufacturer service intervals can also be inadequate, even with the use of longlife oils. If you are unsure or would like a quote, please get in touch.
