🔧 ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER MIXED BAG AT KAMPERBITZ! 🚐🔧

From diesel heaters and electrical upgrades to habitation checks, servicing and some seriously awkward repairs… it’s been another busy one! 😎

🐕 Transit Custom – A professional dog handler’s van received a diesel heater, roof ventilation fan, leisure battery and DC-DC charger. Keeping both handler and dogs comfortable whilst working away! ✅

💧 Sterling Caravan – Alde heating fluid change… apparently last done 7 years ago! Judging by the colour of the old fluid and signs of corrosion, we suspect there wasn’t much glycol in the mix! 😬 A good reminder why correct fluid and replacement intervals matter!

🔧 Barefoot Caravan – Annual service completed on this rather quirky little caravan! ✅

🚐 Pilote Essentiel – Habitation Check, twin Titan fridge cooling fans installed and a faulty hob igniter repaired. All sorted! 👍

🤬 Mercedes Sprinter – Truma heater needed a replacement PCB and circulating air motor. Sounds straightforward, right? WRONG! The converter had installed it inside a cupboard with virtually no access! After some careful manoeuvring, we managed to repair it in situ. Next time it might not be so lucky! 🙈

🌧️ Swift Henbury – Annual service completed in a VERY wet Wallasey! Nothing quite like working outside in the British weather! ☔

✅ Elddis Chatsworth – Habitation Check completed to round off the week!

Another varied week keeping caravans, campervans and motorhomes safe, comfortable and ready for their next adventures! 💪

🐾🚐 A WORK VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE! 🐶🔥

Rachael’s Transit Custom was in for some essential upgrades!

As a professional dog handler travelling across the UK, her van doubles as an office, accommodation and safe space for her dogs!

With winter approaching and a new puppy on the way, heating and ventilation were a must! 🐕

Space was tight with the dog crates and solar panels, but we made it work! 😎

✅ Low-profile two-way roof fan for ventilation

✅ Diesel heater fitted beneath passenger seat, connected to the vehicle’s fuel tank 🔥

✅ 110Ah AGM leisure battery 🔋

✅ Victron DC-DC charger ⚡

✅ EcoFlow DC-DC charger connected for her power station

Maximum comfort, minimum space used! 👌

Thanks for trusting KamperBitz, Rachael! 🐶

A slightly slower finish to the week after two habitation checks were postponed until next month… but still plenty getting done at KamperBitz! 🔧🚐

First up was Craig’s Swift Charisma, in for a couple of jobs 👇

📡 4G WiFi upgrade
We supplied & installed a Kuma 4G WiFi antenna and router, giving Craig a much better setup for staying connected while away touring. ✅

❄️ Thetford fridge repair
Unfortunately, no photo of this one! 😂 After carrying out diagnostics on the fridge, we traced the fault to the PCB. A replacement board was fitted, tested and the fridge was back up and running again. ✅

Then it was over to Runcorn for a mobile visit to Steve’s Bailey Autograph to carry out a full habitation check ahead of it going up for sale. 🚐🔍

Whether you’re getting your motorhome ready for another season, preparing it for sale, or need help with upgrades and repairs, we can help.

Straight from the showroom… and straight to KamperBitz for the upgrades 😎🔥

We had Mark’s brand new, still-in-the-wrapper Swift Voyager in yesterday to get a few essentials sorted before the adventures begin! 🚐💨

First up was the gas system 👇

🔥 Twin Gaslow 6kg refillable LPG system
✅ External filling point for easy refilling at LPG stations
✅ Automatic changeover valve — no manually swapping bottles when one runs out
✅ More convenient setup for touring at home and abroad

📺 We also fitted TV brackets in both the bedroom and living area, giving Mark a neat, practical setup without having to tackle the installation himself on his shiny new motorhome!

And that’s only the start… 👀

He’s already got a few more upgrades planned with us, but quite rightly, he wants to get out and use it first and see what else makes the wish list! 😎

Got a new motorhome or campervan and already thinking about upgrades?

From Gaslow systems, solar & lithium upgrades to air conditioning, awnings, security, Wi-Fi and much more, we can help get it set up exactly how you want it. 👌

🔧 A little KamperBitz update…

As the business continues to grow, we’re making a few changes to the way we handle mobile call-outs and diagnostic work.

We receive a huge number of enquiries asking us to “just pop out and have a look” at a fault before deciding what work is required. Unfortunately, these visits still involve travelling time, fuel and, most importantly, diagnostic time and expertise.

🚐 Mobile diagnostic/call-out visits will now be chargeable, covering travel within our normal local area and an initial period of diagnostic/inspection time.

This applies to fault finding, inspections and visits where we’re attending specifically to establish what work or parts are required.

There is obviously no additional call-out charge for normal pre-booked servicing, habitation checks or installation work. 👍

We’re also reviewing our general pricing to reflect the increasing costs of running a fully equipped mobile and workshop service while continuing to invest in equipment, training and manufacturer approvals.

Full updated pricing will be published shortly.

Thanks as always for keeping us ridiculously busy! 😎
