The back of the van is finally getting the upgrade it deserved! 😎

With the fuel drain kit now gone, it was time to rethink the layout and make the most of the space for KamperBitz.

✅ Full-length heavy-duty slide-out tray installed for the larger tools
✅ Dedicated space for carrying bigger accessories and equipment ready for fitting
✅ Full side racking system for spares, consumables and specialist equipment
✅ Faster access to everything we need on-site
✅ More organised, more efficient and less time spent hunting for tools!

When you’re working mobile every day, organisation is everything. The better the setup, the quicker we can get jobs completed and keep our customers on the road enjoying their adventures.

It’s amazing how much difference a well-planned van layout can make to productivity. We can’t wait to put it to work over the coming weeks! 👍

Back to it today after an extended long weekend… and it was straight back into the madness 😎

First up was a Ford Transit Custom campervan in for a superb F45s wind-out awning finished in gloss black 👍
Perfect match for the van and one of those upgrades that completely transforms both the look and practicality in one go!

Then it was over to Hooton Hangars for the annual service on a stunning Coachman VIP caravan. Always nice working on a well cared for example and making sure everything is ready for another season of adventures 🚐

And finally across to Upton, Wirral to carry out an annual Habitation Check on a lovely AutoSleeper Broadway 😎
Full checks completed to help keep everything safe, working correctly and importantly keeping warranty requirements up to date with us being an member👍

🚐 Europe trip pending? No more hunting around for gas bottles abroad 😎

We had this lovely Autotrail Exhibition in with us for a gas upgrade ahead of some European adventures!

The owner wanted the convenience of a refillable LPG system but was also conscious of keeping additional weight to a minimum, so we opted for the superb Gasbank composite setup 👍

Installed package included:

✅ Gasbank refillable system neatly tucked away in the gas locker
✅ External filling point for easy forecourt refills
✅ New pigtail fitted
✅ Automatic changeover valve installed
✅ Enough space left to keep a 7kg Flo Gas bottle onboard as a backup

To make life even easier we also supplied a handy set of European filling adapters complete with storage bag to keep everything together and ready for use wherever the road takes them 🌍

And as with every install, we don’t just fit it and wave goodbye…

✅ Test fill completed
✅ Full leak test carried out
✅ Thorough operation checks completed

Ready for hassle-free travelling and more time enjoying the adventure rather than searching for gas supplies 😎

🚐 New motorhome excitement… with a few little surprises thrown in😅

This lovely newly purchased Rimor Katamarano was in with us in Childer Thornton for its annual habitation check👍

As with many pre-owned vehicles, even the tidy ones can have a few hidden issues waiting to be discovered once we start digging a little deeper 👀

Here’s what we found:
✅ No MCBs fitted on the 230v electrical system
✅ Live/neutral polarity reversed on a kitchen socket
✅ Several window stays broken or missing

Nothing major, but all things that are worth putting right for safety, reliability and making sure everything is working as it should👍

Parts are now on order and as soon as they land we’ll head back over and get everything fitted and finished off 😎

This is exactly why habitation checks are so important, especially after purchasing a new-to-you caravan or motorhome. Sometimes the issues you can’t see are the ones that matter most!

🚐 Another day, another Bailey keeping us busy😎

This lovely Bailey Unicorn Cadiz in Ellesmere Port was in with us for its annual service along with a water pump issue that needed investigating.

What started as a routine visit quickly turned into one of those “while we’re here…” moments 👀

Here’s what we found:✅ Water pump fault diagnosed✅ Breakaway cable clip badly corroded and no longer closing correctly✅ Toilet flush inoperative✅ Tyres out of date

The breakaway cable issue was sorted there and then so that’s one less thing for the owner to worry about👍

The toilet pump is booked in for replacement later this week, and the owner was already aware of the tyre situation and has plans in place to get those changed.

This is exactly why annual servicing is so important. Most issues are small, easy fixes when caught early… leave them too long and they can quickly become bigger headaches (usually at the worst possible time… like the day before your holiday 😅)

Another upgrade completed and we’ve got to say… this one turned out 👌

This lovely Hobby Optima was in with us for a Fiamma F45 wind-out awning installation and the owners made a cracking choice by opting for the gloss black cassette to tie in with the vehicle decals 😎 Safe to say it looks like it should have left the factory that way!

Not all installs are a simple bolt-on job though… this one definitely kept us on our toes 🛠️

• Gloss black Fiamma F45 supplied & fitted ✅
• Colour matched perfectly with the existing styling ✅
• Front bracket location meant removing the front motorised bed motor & frame for access ✅
• Everything refitted, aligned and tested ✅

Sometimes the jobs that look straightforward on the surface are the ones that throw in a little challenge… but we love that side of it 👍

Here’s a perfect example of why annual servicing should never be skipped…😳

This lovely Compass Corona was purchased from a dealer last year and had supposedly received a “full service” before collection with anything needing replacement already done… but once we carried out our own inspection the story was very different 👀

Here’s what we found👇

❌ Offside tyre shredded right across the middle of the tread
❌ Gas regulator just beyond the recommended replacement age
❌ Spare tyre massively past its safe replacement age
❌ Alde heating fluid overdue for exchange
❌ Brake drums & shoes heavily contaminated with grease 😳

Thankfully we caught everything before it became a much bigger — and potentially dangerous — issue. We’ve cleaned and adjusted the brakes correctly and advised the owner on the remaining items to get this caravan back up to standard👍

This is exactly why annual servicing matters… not just for warranty or paperwork, but for genuine safety and peace of mind when you’re towing your pride and joy around the UK or Europe🚐💨

Sadly we see it all too often:
⚠️ Services rushed
⚠️ Important safety items overlooked
⚠️ “It passed last year” meaning very little

We had a Swift start to Tuesday… literally😆🚐

First stop of the day was a lovely Swift Select in Ellesmere Port for its annual Habitation Check👍
After that we headed over to West Kirby to another Swift — this time a stunning Swift Voyager — for its annual Habitation Check along with a few minor cabinetry repairs to get everything back spot on👌

Both vehicles are still under manufacturer warranty, so as always we ensured the online service records were updated correctly😎
It’s something many owners don’t realise can sometimes get missed elsewhere, but keeping those records uploaded properly can make a huge difference should you ever need to make a warranty claim in the future⚠️

Habitation Checks aren’t just about ticking boxes either… they help identify potential issues early before they turn into costly repairs later down the line🛠️

You may remember we had Sian’s stunning Transit Custom Campervan in the other week for the superb MS-Craft sliding/swivel seat base conversion… well she was back in again Monday ready for a proper adventure trip to the Alps🏔️❄️

This time it was all about keeping warm wherever the road takes them with a diesel night heater installation🔥

Space inside these newer vans can be tight, so rather than compromise valuable storage space we opted for a neat external installation using a stainless steel protective enclosure mounted underneath the van👍
This keeps the system protected from the elements whilst freeing up precious interior room.

The setup included👇
•Fuel supply direct from the vehicle tank😎
•Hot air inlet neatly mounted into the driver’s step
•Twin hot air outlets routed into the cupboard area
•Control panel & isolation switch mounted neatly on the side furniture
•External heater installation with insulated ducting routed internally for maximum efficiency🔥

Sian is now finishing off the internal vent surround herself with a custom-made box setup which is going to look superb once complete👌

These diesel heaters are an absolute game changer for all-season camping and make those early morning mountain wake ups far more enjoyable🥶➡️😎

Another tidy install completed and one more camper ready for adventure🚐💨
