Suzi…….”it’s your turn now”!!!!!! I cannot actually articulate how proud I was of you today, we have come such a long way to reach today’s success (although nearly locking you in the car to avoid you running away was a professional first 😂)
Big shout out to Teagan, your emotional support ❤️. Without whom, let’s face it, lessons would have been drier but definitely less fun. And we shall always have Costco…..who knew learning to drive could be such fun!!!
As you and Sloane drive off to a lifetime of safe driving I thank you for trusting me, remember to wave and don’t be a stranger 😘

Driving Through Anxiety
For some people, learning to drive comes naturally.
For others, it’s a mountain they never thought they’d climb.

I meet learners every week who live with anxiety, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia or who have experienced trauma.
They’re often told by others, and sometimes even tell themselves, that driving “isn’t for them.”

Every single time they get behind the wheel, it’s an act of courage.
It isn’t just about gears, mirrors or manoeuvres. It’s about sitting with a racing heartbeat and choosing to try anyway. It’s about fighting that little voice that says, “You can’t,” and proving it wrong.

A lane change might feel like climbing Everest. Parking in a bay might feel like stepping onto a stage.
Driving on a dual carriageway might feel like running a marathon.

But when they do it… when they push through the fear and make that move… it isn’t just progress in driving.

It’s proof that they can do hard things.
That confidence doesn’t stay in the car. It follows them into their work, their relationships and every other part of their lives.

The reality is that driving anxiety is far more common than many people realise. I speak to nervous learners every single week who feel exactly the same, so if you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone.

The right instructor can make all the difference. Someone who understands anxiety, teaches at your pace, never judges you, and helps build your confidence one lesson at a time.

There is no shame in taking longer, needing extra reassurance.
Your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

If you’re a nervous learner, remember this.
Every small win matters.
Every shaky lesson still counts.
Every mile you drive through your fear is a mile closer to freedom.

One day, you’ll look back and realise that the hardest part wasn’t learning to drive.

Please bear in mind that any vehicle is a potential killing machine and the risk factors only reduce for you and those you love when we actively work together to put capable, reliable drivers on our roads.
