The aim of The Cruise Centre Young Driver programme is to educate young people to have a more mature attitude to driving while gaining practical experience behind the wheel. European Road Safety research has found that it is not the age that is important for young driver road safety, but more so the number of hours that young drivers have over an extended period of time before taking their driving

test. Research also shows that early driving experiences reduces the road traffic accidents by 40%. With 1 in 5 young people being involved in a traffic accident within 6 months of passing their driving test, any move that reduces this statistic can only be describing as positive. "I firmly believe in this project, Evolving Youth Drivers Club, the latest innovative road safety project organised by the Cruise Centre." Eugene Donnelly.

We are back open and taking bookings 🚘📖😊

As Cruise Centre is a volunteered run project the phone is not manned 24/7 although we try our best to get everyone sorted
Best way to contact us regarding bookings is to pm our page or text message...even though we try to avoid it some calls get missed but mps and text messages are always picked up and answered as soon as possible so apologies to any we miss 😑

We look forward to another brand new year...to seeing all our familiar faces and our new faces now in 2026 😀

Hi folks
Our committee after much debate has had to take the decision to increase the
driving session cost to £25pp each starting from Friday 17th October.
The decision was made due to increasing maintenance costs and exciting proposed site developments starting soon.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and believe when compared to other motoring type activities our sessions still remain great value for money.
All of our committee and staff appreciate your ongoing support.

We have decided to cancel all drives today as a safety precaution...alot of roads have been closed or are badly flooded...We feel this is the best decision for the ongoing winds today.

Hi everyone...just a wee post about the oncoming storm warning.
We will be opening for drives...but we will be playing it by ear...if the storm is really bad we will understandably be cancelling all drives for the safety of our young drivers and our instructors and I'll will be in contact with you all as soon as possible...anyone that has to travel a distance and the storm is bad please don't be taking any chances and let us know if you can't make it...it's saying that there could be traffic disruption and road closures
As always safety is our main priority for everyone.

❄Weather Conditions❄
Just a wee post to say we are watching the weather forecast for tonight and into tomorrow.
We will be checking the roads down into the centre and the Centre itself early tomorrow morning and we will assess whether or not there will cancellation or not...if there are cancellations I will be in contact as soon as possible.
We hate to cancel lessons but we will always go with safety measures for both our instructors and young drivers
