2018 Peugeot 3008, 1.5 diesel dv5 engine,
These earlier dv5 engines are known to break the 7mm cam chain due to poor design.
For peace of mind the owner decided to have the upgraded 8mm cam chain kit fitted along side a new timing belt and waterpump.
Not sure what year these came modified from factory, something's telling me 2021 .
If you own a Peugeot, Citroen or ford with a 1.5 16v diesel pre 2021 it's recommended to have this chain upgrade done.

2012 mini cooper SD n47 engine.
Replaced timing chain due to rattle using OEM parts.
Iwis make the chains for BMW/ mini so is pretty much genuine parts.

Caught this just in time as the tensioner was extended past it's stop.

2018 ford transit custom 2ltr eco blue,
Non runner. Traced to broken belt.
Stripped cambox off found 16 broken rockers. Carried out cylinder leak test all valves ok. Replaced rockers, hydraulic lifters, camshafts with cambox using genuine ford parts.
Fitted both wet belts, new cover, sump , brake vac pump. Turbo core.
Castrol oil.
Another one saved ✅

Very clean low mileage ford fiesta 1ltr ecoboost in for a wet belt replacement today.
46k miles on the clock but owner wanted it replaced with genuine parts for peace of mind as they just bought it.

Although the old belt on this engine was ok with these engines it's better to be safe than sorry.

Ford transit ecoblue 2ltr.
Arrived with a snapped wet belt.
Stripped engine to find the teeth had come away from the belt.
Stripped off cambox with cams.
Carried out cylinder leak test and found valves to be ok.
Replaced all 16 rockers and hydraulic lifters.
Replaced cambox with cams, brake vac pump, turbo and both belts using genuine ford parts,
Rebuilt and filled with proper wet belt Castrol oil.

Seeing these more and more often.
This belt failed at 80k and regular servicing at the manufacturer recommended mileage,
I have seen these fail at 40k and have seen them last over 100k even if serviced regularly these belts are a weak point. I personally advise the belt is changed at 60k intervals and oil changes at half the manufacturer recommendation.

2019 BMW X5. Hand brake not engaging with button.
Traced this to a faulty switch.
Unfortunately this switch is part of the centre gws (gearstick module) and can not be purchased separately.
Genuine BMW gws fitted.
The gws is a module and required programming and encoding afterwards,
As an independent specialist this is something we can do no problem at all using genuine BMW software.

Ford transit recovery truck. Ecoblue 2ltr wet belt engine.
Engine tapping loudly..
Removed engine and stripped to find cause of noise.
Removed cylinder head to find a bit of metal had been sucked into the intake damaging the valve seat and eventually got stuck in the head causing the piston to hit it every rotation.
Whilst the engine was out the crank, crank main and big end bearings replaced.
New oil pump.
New brake vac pump.
Both wet belts replaced.
Cylinder head replaced with a good used cylinder head due to seat damage on the valve.
Turbo feed pipe replaced.

It appears this truck had a turbo replaced a month or so before (else where) and seems as tho something was dropped in the intake. After a while it's made it's way through the intercooler and into the engine
