2011 vw scirocco on it’s original clutch…issue with gear selection quickly found out why once the gearbox was removed..actually lucky the broken pressure plate didn’t cut through the inside of the casing not bad going for the clutch that it started its life with😎.

An emergency check over on Chris’s track spec dc5 after a wayward brick laying on a slip road was struck at full chat luckily only glanced the subframe so no real damage done👌🏻

Super clean car all round certainly a more driver focused than his fk2 we practically rebuilt he’s working his way backwards through the type r range fk8,fk2 now dc5😆

A friend of ours grabbed this gem from the auctions..when was the last time you ever saw an Evo 2 and this is a minter..along for a checkover last week and technically only needs a diff gasket,fuel line and potential timing belt replacement👌🏻

Nice to see the classics in such top condition😎

Finishing up the week with Craig’s fk2 in with us for a bunch of parts including;

Timing chain,tensioner & guides
Vtc actuator pulley
Fk8 water pump
Rocker gasket
Service
Fk8 flywheel + clutch kit
Tegiwa alloy radiator
Airtec oil cooler
Airtec turbo cooler
Airtec Cooling vents

While we where in about it we also cleaned and protected the rad support bar as was looking brown

The last few days where purely heat cycles and leak checking as low and behold the sandwich plate outlet pipe had a manufacturer fault a totally unassuming rubber o-ring split…(thanks a bunch Airtec👍🏻) if anyone is going to fit this kit I’d advise checking that first before fitting as access is almost non existent!

Anyways no more leaks car runs smooth and that’s why we take our time..on the plus side the car has more radiators than my house!

Mike’s fk2 completed and collected today after a bilt-hamber underside protection package while he was on holiday so the alternative to airport parking!

Undertrays- archliners removed
Buffed all surface corrosion back (which wasn’t a lot)
Rust stabiliser applied and cured
X2 coats dynax UB applied and cured

We olso carried out a service and replaced the front brakes in favour of fk8 discs and dixel pads

Now looking good and protected as all Fk2’s should🙂

Our first ever customer stopped in for a visit and to plan out fitting some aero parts on his new car and what a car it is! How things have progressed from maintaining a champ white fn2 on my driveway nearly ten years ago to a new Java green rs3 at my own place!

Not all..but some customers I’m growing old with😆
