2008 Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI – 214,000 Miles and Still Going Strong 💪

Today’s job was a service on this Audi A4 Avant showing an impressive 214,000 miles on the clock.

🔧 Engine oil and oil filter replaced
🔧 Air filter replaced
🔧 Vehicle health check carried out
🔧 Fluids checked and topped up where required

For a car with over 214k miles, regular servicing is absolutely key. The old air filter was heavily clogged compared to the new one, restricting airflow and making the engine work harder than it needs to.

Another one sorted today 👨‍🔧

2011 Ford Ka in for an OSF (offside front) lower suspension arm replacement after excessive play was found causing knocking and poor handling.

Old arm removed and replaced with a new unit, getting everything tightened correctly and back together safely ✅

These are a common wear item on the Ka and can cause:
• Knocking over bumps
• Uneven tyre wear
• Steering instability
• MOT failures

Customer back on the road with the front end feeling tight again 🚗💨

Vehicle came in today after a well known car dealer carried out the MOT with the following advisories:

• Front brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened x2
• Front brake pads wearing thin

After inspecting the vehicle properly, the front pads still had plenty of life left and the discs were in perfectly serviceable condition 👌

Just because something is listed as an advisory doesn’t always mean it needs replaced straight away. Always worth getting a second opinion before spending money unnecessarily 🔧🚗

Honest advice and only replacing parts when they genuinely need done 👍

Another one sorted today 👨‍🔧

Fiat 500 in for a full service along with replacement of both inner & outer track rods 🔧

Customer had noticed knocking and play through the steering – worn components all swapped out and tightened up properly, leaving it driving straight and feeling solid again 👍

Fresh oil, filters done and steering now spot on 🚗💨

Another job completed today on a 2022 Kia Picanto 🔧

Customer came to us with a check engine light on. After a full diagnostic scan, we found camshaft position faults along with the engine running on very low oil ⚠️

Carried out a full service, topped up and replaced the oil and filter, and checked over the engine to make sure no lasting damage had been caused. Cleared faults and re-tested – all running as it should again ✅

This is a good reminder how important regular servicing is. Low oil can quickly lead to serious engine damage if left unchecked.

🔧 Another one sorted tonight!

Out assisting S.M Brakes this evening replacing front brake pads for a customer at their home. The old pads were worn and due for replacement, so we got them swapped out and the car back safe on the road. 🚗
