Cambelt and water pump job on this little 1.4 Tdci fiesta last night. The customer had noticed coolant leaking from the bottom of his engine. I investigated the leak and found the water pump to be leaking.
We replaced it with a new belt and tensioner and of course new water pump. And also replaced the alternator belt as it was perished and cracked.

As you can see in the picture the discs and the pads are low and the discs have a lip on the which was causing the squeak.

Fitted a new intercooler to this VW transporter today.
Had early symptoms of occasional stalling when trying to pull away and lack of power, and even an engine management light on the dash with a code for an air flow problem.
When the intercooler finally failed there was a very obvious hissing noise under acceleration where the air was leaking out.
