Did you know the law changed in 2025 !!

Using your mobile phone while you’re stopped at traffic lights or sitting in traffic is still illegal if the engine is running.

It doesn’t matter if you’re not moving. If you’re in control of the vehicle and holding your phone, you could face 6 points and a £200 fine.

For new drivers, 6 points means losing your licence and starting again.

If you need to use your phone, park safely and switch the engine off. No message is worth your licence or someone’s life
