π DID YOU KNOW? (Itβs not a wrong turn, itβs a detour!) π
Many learners think taking a wrong turn during their driving test is an automatic fail. Spoiler alert: Itβs not! π
The examiner isnβt testing your internal GPS; they are testing your safety and control. Here is the game plan for when you miss that exit or turn left instead of right:
π‘ What to do if you go the wrong way:
β’ Stay Calm: Donβt panic or slam on the brakes. Take a deep breath and keep driving safely.
β’ Follow Through: If youβve realized too late that youβre in the wrong lane, stay in that lane. It is much safer to go the wrong way correctly than to make a dangerous last-minute swerve.
β’ Communicate: If you realize your mistake, you can briefly mention it to the examiner (e.g., βIβve realized Iβm in the wrong lane, so Iβm going to continue straight ahead safelyβ).
β’ Wait for Instructions: The examiner will simply give you new directions to get back on track.
The Golden Rule: As long as you follow the road markings, check your mirrors, and signal correctly, a βwrongβ turn is just a bit of extra practice!
