Multi Drop Courier Van Drivers
Job Overview:
We are actively recruiting enthusiastic people to join our dedicated team of multi drop delivery van couriers. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills a basic understanding of warehouse operations and multi drop delivery.
Duties
- 08:00- 18:00 shift
- Same fixed area everyday where possible, starting from Sunderland although this may vary depending on the needs of the business.
- Expected 100-160 drops per day there will be more at peak periods and a maximum of 100 miles.
- Operate a MWB or LWB van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods safely, following proper procedures to avoid damage or injury.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications:
- Full Training Given
- Valid driving license; experience in MWB and LWB Van driving is preferred.
- Previous experience as a van driver or courier driver is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
-A basic DBS will be required.

These are full time positions and you will be a full time employee of Smith and Sons Transport
Pay: £12.50 hour rising in April to between £12.71 & £13.00 Paid weekly.
Expected hours: 8-10 hours per day
