attended this Skoda Octavia this week where Green Flag Technician had been out to the customer where he diagnosed a faulty battery. The alternator was charging the battery but the battery was failing to hold the charge.
We attended to fit the battery and re-program the battery matching to the car. All within 1hr of collecting the battery.

19 Plate Mercedes Sprinter had many issues. Unfortunately due to the mileage of this Courier van the dealership would not put this under warranty. The power steering was very clunky & there was many lights on the dashboard. A garage had tested the battery with a volt meter which read “12.6v” and when eventually running it was at “14.1v” which suggested the battery was ok...... we disconnected the battery and performed a drop test. This indicated the battery cells were broke causing the battery to fail and giving false readings. We replaced the battery and sure enough, all faults front he dash had gone along with the power steering fault.

Well my vans not starting so someone said it’s my battery.
“Ok, if it’s your battery it’s £86 fitted”
No problem, just do it......

When BatterySupport.co.uk turn up we make sure it’s your battery. This one was perfectly ok in fact pretty much brand new. It was an interior light causing the battery to go flat all the time. We disconnected the light and sure enough every morning the car would start. We fixed the interior light, £35 callout instead of £86. No point changing a battery if it doesn’t need changing.
