A little quiet on the socials recently, but certainly not in the workshop.

Plenty going on at Parker Autosport at the minute, with a good mixture of general repairs, performance work, fabrication and some of the more interesting jobs keeping us busy.

One of the recent jobs has been the Caterham pictured, where we fabricated the complete boost pipework and intake setup in-house, making everything to suit the car and the limited space available. - will be another post on this.

We’re not always the best at stopping to take photos when we’re working, so here’s a little look at what’s been going on behind the scenes recently.

One of our biggest projects to date is now complete.

This Focus ST has now been fitted with a forged engine and Garrett G30-660 turbo, on top of that we have Sam Harrington a call and between us managed to get a running in map on and thanks to the owner going for a long night drive we managed to get it serviced for Sam to then jump back on and do a final map for Santa pod next week.

The build includes a full AWD conversion, fabricated turbo system, return-to-tank fuel system, full V-band exhaust, BC Racing suspension and an extensive underbody restoration. Every stage has been completed with reliability, performance and attention to detail in mind.

From routine maintenance to complete engine builds, AWD conversions and performance fabrication, we’re passionate about getting the very best from the Ford ST platform.

Next we need to get everything ready to run some more power but for now we will take a bit of time to get ready for the next project coming..

What started as a straightforward repair quickly became a great opportunity to improve both the reliability and performance of this Focus ST.

The vehicle originally came to us with damaged timing belt tensioner threads, requiring the threads to be professionally repaired before the timing components could be refitted correctly.

With the front of the engine already stripped, the owner decided to take advantage of the reduced labour involved and carry out a number of carefully selected upgrades at the same time.

Work completed:

* Timing belt tensioner thread repair
* New timing belt kit
* Silicone coolant hose kit
* Performance inlet plenum
* RS ECU holder
* Performance induction kit
* Cold-side boost pipe

Taking this approach not only resolves the original issue but also makes financial sense by completing future upgrades while access is already available.

It’s been a little quiet on the social media front lately, but that certainly doesn’t mean we’ve been quiet in the workshop.

Over the last few weeks we’ve been focused on what matters most – delivering quality work, solving problems, and keeping our customers’ vehicles on the road and performing at their best. From routine repairs and diagnostics to performance upgrades and custom fabrication projects, the workshop has been as busy as ever.

Unfortunately, when you’re fully focused on getting the job done, remembering to stop and take photographs often gets forgotten!

We’d like to thank all of our customers for their continued support, recommendations, and trust in Parker Autosport. We have some exciting projects currently underway and we’ll be making a bigger effort to share more of what goes on behind the scenes.

A recent Focus ST project completed at Parker Autosport.

This vehicle has undergone a comprehensive underbody restoration, ensuring the chassis and underside have been restored to a high standard while providing long-term protection and durability.

Work completed so far includes:

• Full underbody restoration
• BC Racing coilover installation and setup
• Volvo AWD conversion
• Return-to-tank fuel system conversion
• Custom fabricated exhaust system with V-band connections throughout

Every stage of the build has been carried out with careful attention to detail, ensuring the vehicle is not only capable of handling increased power but is built to a professional standard throughout.

The project is far from finished, with the next phase already underway. We are currently awaiting the return of the forged engine, which will be paired with a big turbo conversion to unlock the full potential of the build. Once completed, this Focus ST will be transformed into an exceptionally capable performance car with the drivetrain and supporting modifications to match.

We would like to thank the owner for trusting Parker Autosport with this exciting project, and we look forward to sharing further updates as the build progresses.

Another project completed at Parker Autosport, this time on a Subaru Impreza STI undergoing a comprehensive engine bay and supporting system overhaul.

The aim of this build was to improve reliability, presentation and functionality throughout the engine bay while supporting the vehicle’s performance setup with properly integrated components and fabrication work.

Work carried out included:

• Custom intercooler pipework fabrication
• Intake manifold installation and loom modification
• Engine bay wiring rectification and refinement
• Fuel line fittings and hose installation
• Battery relocation to the boot
• Screen wash bottle relocation to the boot
• 6 paddle clutch installation
• Swirl pot installation
• Header tank relocation

During the build process we also identified and rectified a number of faults and issues from previous work carried out on the vehicle, ensuring everything was properly sorted and completed to a reliable standard before final assembly.

A large amount of time has gone into ensuring the wiring, pipework and supporting systems were completed with both reliability and serviceability in mind, while also delivering a much cleaner overall engine bay setup.

A very rewarding project to complete and another strong example of the type of bespoke work we take on at Parker Autosport.

Another project completed and ready to leave the workshop.

This Ford Es**rt came to us for a full MFI to ZVH engine conversion, alongside a range of supporting upgrades focused on improving both performance and drivability.

The work carried out included:

• ZVH engine conversion
• Omex 600 ECU installation and calibration
• L*D gearbox installation
• ST170 front brake conversion
• Cosworth rear disc brake conversion
• In-tank fuel pump conversion
• Gaz coilover installation and setup

A well thought out build which now benefits from improved braking performance, handling and overall drivability to match the upgraded powertrain package.

Projects like this are exactly the type of work we enjoy taking on at Parker Autosport, combining performance upgrades with attention to detail to deliver a properly sorted end result.

It’s been a busy period with a mix of repairs, diagnostics, and performance work. Everything from fault finding and engine work through to upgrades and general maintenance.

We don’t always get chance to post everything we do, but here’s a small snapshot of what’s been going on behind the scenes. From servicing to engine replacements we have dealt with them all.

WE ARE HIRING – PART-TIME MECHANIC (POTENTIAL FULL-TIME ROLE)

Parker Autosport is looking for a part-time mechanic to join the team due to increasing workload and a growing number of performance builds.

This role will focus on keeping on top of general servicing, maintenance and repairs to support the day-to-day running of the workshop. We are also looking for someone enthusiastic who is keen to get involved in project work when required.

With upcoming turbo conversions and 4WD conversions booked in, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in performance and custom builds.

For the right candidate, this role has the potential to become a full-time position.

Role includes:
• Servicing and routine maintenance
• General repairs
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Supporting overall workshop workflow
• Assisting with performance builds and project work

We are looking for someone who:
• Has solid mechanical experience
• Is enthusiastic and interested in performance vehicles
• Can work independently and use their initiative
• Takes pride in their work and attention to detail
• Is willing to get involved in builds as required

What we offer:
