🖤🧡50 Years in Business🧡🖤
May marked the commencement of our 50th year in business. What began as a small plant hire company established by the late John & Rosemary McIntosh has since grown into a well-established organisation, offering a comprehensive range of supplies and services across Dumfries and Galloway.
Today, we provide construction, building, and maintenance services, alongside civil engineering and infrastructure works, utilities, and installation services. We also operate a dedicated fabrication workshop at our Dunragit depot, specialising in agricultural buildings, associated works, and bridge construction, all of which are accredited by BSI. In addition, we supply quality-assured concrete produced to industry standards, supported by materials sourced from our own in-house quarries. Our operations are further strengthened by a commitment to effective waste management practices, ensuring that materials are reused, recycled where possible, and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
We remain a proud family-run business, now led by Boyd and Adam McIntosh, with the third generation represented by Mary Vance, who continues to play an integral role in our operations.
Our growth over the past five decades has only been possible thanks to our skilled workforce, loyal customers, and the support of the wider community. We are truly grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey—past and present.
Throughout the coming year, we will celebrate this milestone by sharing some of our most memorable moments from the past five decades.
