We have this wee cracker is this morning. 1958 Ford Anglia, even older than oor Si 🤣
It has a 2.0 pinto engine with 3.0l running gear. It’s here to have the carburettor set up properly, rectify a leak from the diff, raise the suspension and carry out laser alignment.

We don’t often see a Ford Mondeo in these days but today we have this lovely Mondeo Titanium X 2.2L Diesel.

This one is getting a Stage 1 calibration, with Simon using the AutoTuner hardware to write the new map.

But it isn’t quite as simple as plugging into the OBD port and pressing go… 👀

On this Mondeo, the ECU is tucked away behind the wheel liner, so the car is up in the air and the wheel has to come off to access it.

It’s not always just about the map — getting access to the ECU is sometimes half the job! 🔧

Once removed, the ECU is reprogrammed on the bench, allowing the Stage 1 calibration to be written correctly before everything is refitted and the car is checked over.
