Hours: Part-time to start (with the goal of growing into a full-time role)

Are you brilliant with people, super organised, and looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference?

We are Reid Works, a growing alloy wheel repair and custom exhaust business based in Dundee. Our small but busy team currently includes two wheel technicians and an exhaust fabricator. As our business expands, we need someone to be the welcoming face of Reid Works and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We previously advertised for a "Manager," but we realised that title sounds a bit too corporate for us. We aren't looking for someone to sit in a glass office and look at spreadsheets. We are looking for a Workshop Coordinator / Front of House — someone who thrives on chatting with customers, keeping the diary full, and helping our business thrive.

If you have a background in a busy car dealership reception, an estate agency, a hair salon, a dental practice, hospitality, sales, or any customer-facing booking role, you might be exactly who we are looking for!

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day

You will be the face of the business, especially when the owner isn't on-site. Your main goal is to keep our workshop buzzing and our customers happy.

Your day-to-day will involve:

- Keeping the Diary Full: Making sure the workshop stays busy by booking in work consistently.
- Looking After Customers: Being the friendly first point of contact for anyone walking through the door or calling in.
- Following Up: Chasing up enquiries, responding to messages on Facebook and Instagram, and turning questions into bookings.
- Building Relationships: Reaching out to local garages and car dealers to build and maintain valuable trade accounts.
- Business Admin: Handling invoicing, organising the workshop workflow, and keeping the team on track.
- Promoting the Business: Actively finding new ways to generate work and get the Reid Works name out there.

This BMW M Sport alloy came in with a whole chunk missing from the rim. Most places would bin it.

We stripped it back to bare metal, welded up the missing sections, shaped it back to the original profile, powder coated it, diamond cut it on the lathe, then sealed it with lacquer. Good as new.
