We currently have a position available for a Tyre Fitter based in our busy depot in Newton Stewart.

Experience preferred but not essential as full training can be provided for the right applicant.

Applicants should be Physically fit as job involves heavy lifting etc. Good time keeping is also essential as is overtime at short notice.

Rates of pay depend on experience.

We have barriers up to stop people from entering the depot to help stop the spread of this virus. Unfortunately people are still arriving without calling us first & climbing over protected area to get in😟

To help us stay open as long as possible to help keep essential vehicles moving , you MUST NOT arrive unannounced. Please call us before coming down & do not enter the garage unless instructed to do so by a member of staff.

These measures are there to look after the health of staff & customers.

Please use the government advice and only travel if you really have to.

*Covid19 Update*

After tonight’s latest restriction put on businesses , Stewartry Tyres Newton Stewart will remain open for essential tyre maintenance on our customers vehicles.

If you need emergency tyre work done you MUST phone the depot to arrange a suitable time to have the work done. This is to restrict groups of people all gathering in the workplace at one time. Please do not arrive without a pre arranged appointment.

Our Breakdown vans will still be available for haulage & agricultural businesses who require emergency breakdown assistance.

Obviously we advise you take the government’s advice and don’t travel unnecessarily, however we understand that some customers need to keep moving & we will do our best to help these important services remain functional without jeopardising the safety of our staff & customers

COVID-19

Following the latest NHS and Scottish government advice , Stewartry Tyres Newton Stewart have implemented our COVID-19 precautions.

Our COVID-19 procedures includes a 2 meter safety zone at our depot, hand sanitizer wipes in our reception area to enable all of our customers to kindly clean their hands each time they enter our depot.

Our management have instructed all our staff of our COVID-19 precautionary procedures. This includes a no close quarters policy with customers and workshop staff, we respectfully ask customers to follow this procedure also. We would request all customers with any queries to relay them through the office staff, and also to refrain from entering the workshop.

This is to protect both our staff and our customers, we apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

For those that are part of an at risk group who do not wish to enter the premises , please call us on 01671401112 and we can discuss additional requirements on a case by case basis.

These measures are to ensure our repeated high standard of service without compromising our customers or staffs health.
