We are seeking a skilled Gearbox Builder to join our team at Tameside Automatics. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting gearboxes and clutches to the highest standards of quality that our company is known for. This position is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence in automotive repair.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fit gearboxes and clutches according to specifications.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and productivity.

Proven mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems, particularly automatic gearboxes and clutches.
Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or repair environment.

Full driving license is preferable

Automatic Gearbox Technician needed! - Due to retirement, there is an exciting opportunity to join our busy workshop team. We are looking for a fully-skilled and experienced professional that is capable of working to high standards expected by our loyal customer base. The successful applicant will have a wide and varied ability to work on all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles, carrying out the full range of diagnostics, repairs and servicing. Must be able to strip and rebuild automatic gearboxes. Aswell as being able to fault find on automatic gearboxes. We look forward to hearing from applicants that are looking for a new challenge in their career and would like to join our well motivated team. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
