Back from a few days in Europe and straight back in the 109.

No.0190
All new Brake pipes made today and hoses fitted along with new fuel tank, and bump stops . Exhaust manifold broken bolts extracted and new studs fitted, exhaust hangers replaced, Steering idler cut out of old chassis greased and refitted to new one .
Body lowered onto chassis along with all new fixings .
A few wires to refit tomorrow in between the other work and she’s all good to go.

I’ve not travelled 175 miles to room 27 salon to get my hair done. If I could stop it disappearing, that would be good though 🤦‍♂️🤣.

When the clutch fails and the blower motor stops working on your daughter’s car you’ve gotta do what you Gotta do even if it is raining.
I went with everything needed to replace the compleat clutch system expecting the worst , clutch kit master and slave but it turned out to be just an external slave cylinder leaking luckily .

I thought I’d give up this mobile mechanic lark 😀

a delightful 1980 Series 3, 109 2,1/4 petrol with Lpg in for a galvanised chassis and light recommissioning.
