The new Ranger engine has decided to s**t itself, a downside to trusting what people say! Did 100 miles though so 🥳🥳🥳

Got the absolute hangover from Hell and been back since Monday 😭🤢.

Anyway plodding on and chipping away at it, we’ve got a broken belt and a wetbelt in today.

We’ve a wetbelt coming in tomorrow so really need to start feeling human again!

Better to be busy I guess 🤣.

I’ll be fully fresh by next week so back at it at full pace! 🙂🙂

✅ Injectors replaced and coded.

Now the reason it came for the injectors was DPF issues diagnosed else where.

So here’s a quick check over how I check the DPF Interlock that allows a re-gen.

Also had someone call regarding one injector issue on his van. I explained we’d only touch it if we change all 4!

You change the Faulting one and it moves to the next weakest until all 4 are done!

Every now and then you get a few good ones, but by the time you’ve stripped it down 2/3 times it’s cheaper to do all 4 while it’s apart!

A Brief description of how we fit injectors!

Remove, Check, Clean Check again!

Grease the Injector, put in the hole twist freely both ways.

Hand tighten all the feed pipes and nip slightly.

Bolt the Injector down to spec and tighten all flanges to spec!

Now the van is back together, the initial start up completed yesterday.

We left this van over night to see how it starts cold!

Absolutely on the button!

So this is the van that was struggling to start on my previous video and now it’s on the button!

So we’ve had this van in for poor starting issues.

Already failed a compression test else where so we’ve replaced the head.

All back together and starting but injector 4 was chuffing so needed a quick Check and re seat.

Thanks to Network Bus & Truck Parts Ltd for the Jump pack it’s helping start normally difficult vehicles.

It still started better having to pull the fuel through all the lines etc.

So we’ve got this running for an hour or so to get up to temp then a test drive to make sure and it’s ready to go home!
