Check Elisha out, my latest car to artic first time pass. A massive well done Elisha, all the hard work this week has paid off. Congratulations, you deserve it.

Now, we can't settle the debate about who the better drivers are from the 2 genders. (See what I did there, might rattle a few cages. 🤭) But here is an interesting fact. 12 women have done C+E courses with me, 11 of them were car to artic courses. Every single one of those 12 passed at the first attempt. Women certainly make better students, sorry Men, the facts don't lie. Better drivers though? That debate will have to just keep rumbling on.

My students will remember their reversing training very differently to that of other driving schools. If you didn't train with me, the chances are that you just got shown the manouvre for the 3a test. Turn when you see this, turn when you see that, stop when you reach here.
I deconstruct the manouvre in such a way that you will learn some basic skills, as well as the 3a reversing manoeuvre. Reversing in a straight line, kicking the trailer left and right, timing with straightening, when to fix, when to shunt. This way students can start recognising when it goes wrong and how to fix it. What a good bend looks like and how to maintain it.
Here is a video of this weeks student who had never reversed a trailer before doing the excercises prior to the actual 3a manoeuvre.

Here's our latest new HGV driver to pass through the gates. A massive well done to Jake who has passed his Cat C test today at the first attempt. So huge congratulations to him. And a massive thank you to Paul his trainer for his hard work. We won't mention the mistake I made today. (Purely administrative) Employee of the month is slipping away for me I feel. 🤣

Congratulations to Luke on passing his C+E test today at the first attempt. He has upgraded from his Cat C licence and can now drive the big stuff. Obviously Luke is more excited about being the first student to train with the freshly wrapped trailer, and why wouldn't he be, it looks awesome. Well done again Luke.

Attention new passes who haven't found work yet. I'm not sure there are many, if any that have trained with me. The Best Connection - Goole have clients that are looking for drivers and will take new passes. So have a look at their page for more information. Great news, Floyds 1 start review has been removed by Google. I replied to it and then reported it which seems to have done the trick. Since I'm on a role with getting rid of idiots, how do I get rid of the idiot that's causing diesel to cost as much as it does?

In other news, the trailer gets wrapped on Thursday, I can't wait to see it. Obviously there'll be pictures straight on here. Might even chuck a sneaky peak in the comments.
