Today we headed over to McCarthy’s to investigate an electrical fault that had decided to cause a bit of chaos! 😅

As we all know, electrical faults have a funny way of making themselves known… usually by not doing what they're supposed to do! In this instance the side markers were blowing fuses like fireworks

After getting stuck into the diagnostics, checking wiring, connections and testing the relevant circuits, we managed to track down the culprit a small piece of corrosion causing all the issues.⚡
It's always satisfying when you go from:

❌ “Why isn't this working?!”
➡️ 🔍 “Let's find out…”
➡️ 💡 “THERE IT IS!”
➡️ ✅ FIXED!

Another fault found, another vehicle back where it should be. 💪

Why choose between a tough coating and corrosion protection when you can have both?!
We’ve been trying out the Raptor + Lanoguard combo here at Gas Guzzlers 👇

RAPTOR first — gives the underside a tough, durable protective coating and helps protect against stone chips, dirt and general abuse.

LANOGUARD over the top — adds that extra layer of corrosion protection and, because it creeps into seams, joints and those awkward little areas, it can get to places a hard coating can't.
Basically...

Raptor: “You shall not pass!”
Lanoguard: “I'll just sneak around the back…”

The idea is to get the best of both worlds — a tough protective coating underneath, with Lanoguard helping keep moisture and corrosion at bay.

And let's face it, with the amount of rain, salt and general British weather our vehicles see, they need all the help they can get! 🇬🇧🌧️

We had the absolute pleasure of doing some work for Rory J Holbrooks last week and while we was there these 2 lorry's sat side by side and I couldnt help but just appreciate how far vehicles have come in 100 years from a steam powered engine with no assists or luxuries what so ever to a modern highway cruiser with fridge freezers heated and cooled seats and so much more again thanks to Holbrooks for choosing Gas Guzzlers

However we did capture this little mini cooper s having a refurbed subframe new bottom arms all new ball joints polly bushed rear bushes and new anti roll bar links when we do it we do it properly around here !!!!
