Corner weighting of a vehicle makes a huge difference to how it handles on the road and track. Balanced weight distribution can make a car more predictable and controllable when pushing close to and on the limit. Using our Intercomp wireless scales we can accurately weigh your vehicle, assess the distribution and make improvements.
In typical road cars it is very difficult and sometimes impossible to get perfect 50/50 front/rear left/right distribution, so the target is to get a 50/50 across the diagonals (FL/RR, FR/RL).
This VW Racing Cup Mk6 Golf race car was corner-weighted with a mid-late race fuel quantity so that the dynamics of the car got better as the race went on. Cross weights 49.7 / 50.3%.
