Gravity Show 2026 is done, and it was the best weekend of show trading in Duel's history.

We set up on Thursday, put the cars on the stand Friday, and by half nine on Saturday morning the hall was already filling because VIP entry opened an hour earlier than we had planned for. It never really calmed down after that. Ten years of Gravity and it felt like the busiest one yet.

By Saturday afternoon our shelves were empty. Not low, empty. Sam sent Nathan a stock list that night and he drove a full restock down to Birmingham for Sunday morning, which is the only reason we had anything to sell on day two. Sales finished up 37.5% on last year. BIG thanks to Nathan!

The stand itself was graced by two show cars. Matt Clifford, the photographer behind every image you see from us, trusted us with his one-of-one carbon widebody Porsche Cayman. Alex from AB Detailing brought a red 911 Turbo S making 1,000bhp and spent Saturday on the stand with us. Having Alex on stand added another dimension to the help and advice available, given he is a highly experienced professional detailer who uses the Duel range day in day out.

Good neighbours help too. West Forged were next door with Ryan's yellow Audi R8 V10, a car that sat on our own stand last year. 𝔈𝔲𝔯𝔬𝔖𝔱𝔞𝔫𝔠𝔢 were opposite. And Sam and Lee finally got a proper catch-up with Jack from Stjarnagloss, who we compete with all year and genuinely rate.

One thing we did notice: several of the big detailing names were not at Gravity this year. For a tenth anniversary edition of the UK's largest indoor show, that surprised us. We think a weekend of people picking your products up and telling you what they think to your face is worth more than anything an ad account can tell you, but we would be interested to hear where everyone else lands on that.

Competition is healthy. Community is better. 🤝

The automotive detailing industry can be fiercely competitive.

Brands compete. Businesses compete. Opinions clash. And sometimes, the relationships between competitors can get pretty savage.

But that’s never really been how we’ve wanted to do things at Duel Autocare.

We believe you can compete with someone professionally while still respecting them personally.

You can want to win, without wanting someone else to lose.

You can build your own brand while genuinely celebrating somebody else building theirs.

This morning, we made the trip down to Essex to support our good friend Jack Cavanagh at the open day for his brand, Better Car Care

After an already hectic Gravity weekend, we extended the trip by another night simply so we could be there.

Not because we had to.

Not because there was anything in it for us.

Just because Jack is our friend, we respect what he’s building, and we wanted to show our support.

Both Lee, Sam and Jack have built a genuine relationship over the years, and moments like today are a reminder that this industry is made up of people before brands.

There’s room for competition.

There’s room for different opinions.

There’s room for everyone to succeed.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with shaking your competitor’s hand and saying:

“Mate, I’m genuinely buzzing for you.” 💙🎱
