Peak Performance: Engineering for the Race to the Clouds. 🏔️⚡

Throwing it back to an incredible international collaboration with . When you build a car designed to conquer the brutal Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Custom Cages is the only option!

We were tasked with designing, developing, fitting, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) testing the bespoke roll cage for the breathtaking Radford Type 62-2 "Pikes Peak Special".

Integrating a high rigidity structural cage into a lightweight carbon composite monocoque chassis meant precision was everything. Every tube and weld had to handle immense load paths while keeping the overall vehicle weight to an absolute minimum to support that 710hp supercharged V6.

The payoff? Renowned driver piloted this JPS liveried beast up the mountain in 2023, shattering the 10-minute barrier with a blistering 09:37.326 to secure 1st place in the Exhibition Class.

EP3, Completed it mate 🛠️🏁

Just finished the install on this Type R. Fitted with a full T45 FIA certificated cage kit for maximum rigidity and zero wasted weight.

Topped it off with our own EP3 Seat Rail Kit, built from 25CrMo4 for a rock solid, dialed-in driving position.

Another In-House Install — The JDM Favorite. 🇯🇵🏁

The workshop is home to a staple of modern touring car and club-level racing: the Honda Civic Type R EP3. We are installing our Multipoint T45 Roll Cage, a fully FIA certificated system engineered to deliver maximum driver protection and chassis rigidity.

With the massive buzz around JDM car culture right now, the EP3 remains an absolute benchmark for performance. It’s legendary for its handling out of the box, but to truly unlock its potential on track, chassis flex needs to be eliminated. Our multipoint system ties directly into the key structural areas of the shell, transforming the car's dynamics.

When installing a comprehensive multipoint cage into a compact cockpit like the Civic's, precision ex*****on is everything. We focus heavily on the tightest integration to ensure:

Unobstructed Clearance - Maintaining optimal space around the steering column, pedals, and gear shifter for rapid driver inputs.

Another In-house Project — The Air-cooled Icon. 🇩🇪🏁

The workshop is now temporarily home to a legendary silhouette: the 1976 Porsche 911. Lee Bourner dropped off this classic, stripped down to a bare shell for a full FIA install!

At this stage, the focus is entirely on the foundation. With the shell fully exposed, we are evaluating the chassis to ensure every structural point is perfect before moving into the fabrication phase.

Just as we do with our FIA and MSUK-certified systems, this build is centred on total precision:

Structural Integrity – Evaluating every weld and panel to ensure a chassis that is stiffer and stronger than when it left the factory.

Preserving the Silhouette – Ensuring the iconic lines of this 1976 classic remain untouched while integrating modern safety and performance.

Engineering Excellence – Utilising the same tolerances we apply to all our cages to guarantee a flawless restoration.

Another In-House Install — Another Classic Icon.🐆🇬🇧

This week, the workshop is home to a true gem of historic racing: the Jaguar E-Type. We are installing our Historic T45 Roll Cage, a fully FIA/MSUK certificated system designed for the rigors of competitive historic motorsport.

On a cockpit as refined as the E-Type’s, precision is everything. We focus heavily on the front lateral tube to screen pillar gaps, achieving a "skin tight" fitment that is crucial for:
✅ Unobstructed steering wheel clearance.
✅ Maximum driver vision on track.
✅ Maintaining the classic aesthetics of this legendary silhouette.

To further elevate the build, the rear stays are mounted directly to the rear chassis rails, providing significantly improved torsional rigidity and structural strength to the aging shell.

Precision in Progress. 🛠️🏁

We’ve currently got this Ford Fiesta MK7 in the workshop for a full in-house installation of our T45 Fully FIA Certified Multipoint Roll Cage. Another project nearing completion for the team

With the majority of the tubes now fully welded and tacked into position, you can see how tight an FIA-certified cell follows the MK7's internal profile allowing for stitch welding to the body. By opting for our high tensile BST45, we’re providing maximum chassis stiffness and world class safety while keeping the weight as low as possible for the track. 🛡️🦾

Every tube is positioned to maximize driver space and structural integrity before the final welding begins.
