Well it’s time to say farewell, retirement for Ian is almost here. Ian will finish tomorrow Friday 6th Feb.
Thank you to all of our customers old & new, we are very grateful for your loyalty and custom. We will miss seeing you all.
Thank you to all the staff past & present, I couldn’t have done it without you.
I would like to wish Chris & Gemma the new owners of the garage all the best on their new venture. Please support them as you have supported me over the last 32 years.

Exciting News! 🚗🔧
After 31 wonderful years of running FRL and looking after the cars of Dartmouth and the surrounding areas, Ian and Julie are officially retiring. The garage has been a huge part of the community for decades, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust and loyalty you’ve all shown us.
We’re also delighted to share that FRL is in the process of being purchased by Chris and Gemma Jones.
The team will remain the same, and will continue to offer the same reliable, honest and high-quality service you’ve always counted on. Bookings for 2026 are open as usual, so please keep giving us a call and popping in.
While its sad to see Ian step back, he won’t be far away just yet — he’ll be here for the next few months to help hand everything over to Chris before finally enjoying a very well-deserved break. We will give you an update as soon as we have the official takeover date.
Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to the next chapter of FRL! 🚘✨

Ian is treating the boys to a well earned boys day out at the Automechanika Show at the NEC Birmingham.
We will be open as usual 8.30am on Thursday.
