110, CSW restoration.

A huge build, we will try to highlight the main aspects of this 110 -

Its original turbo diesel engine was beyond economical repair, so a replacement D1 200 tdi engine was sourced. Multiple modifications are needed when fitting a discovery engine to a 110. Including exhaust down pipe, power steering hoses & coolant hoses.

Heat cycles, stress & strain can cause the TDCI manifolds to crack, as shown below.

Replaced with new bolts, studs, nuts & gaskets! AC re-gas ❄️ & a new boost pipe!

Excess crankcase pressure 💥

2.4 TDCIs are notorious for having ‘blow by’. Injector copper sealing washers fail, causing excess pressure, resulting in oil leaks, poor running & noisy engines!

Replacement washers, rocker cover, bolts & a good clean for these prior to refit!
