For all friends and family my mums funeral will be held on Tuesday 21st april at 12pm st marys church Dalton.

Family flowers only but donations can be made to the British heart foundation and dalton st marys church

Please feel free to join us in saying our final goodbyes to her also pass information on to others who may not see this status.

Lisa's partner Gary Shaw asked us to pass this on.

Many of you will know Lisa well from both the mobile chaos rally's and dead end rally's. Gutted to say the least but she sadly passed away yesterday evening in Furness General.
Stubborn Witch was awkward to the end, refusing to go to the hospital, then to her last, freaking me out by holding her breath for ages all day.
She was asleep the whole time due to painkillers but kept us waiting all day until it got dark so she could leave.
Thank you to all of you who loved or put up with her through the years.

Thanks to all that bought raffle tickets at our rally, we managed to raise £1000 which we split between St Marys Hospice and the FGH Oncology Unit.

We’ve been feeling so grateful this week for the incredible community support shown to St Mary’s

🥁 Drum roll please! It was fabulous to have some of the members of Furness Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) when they visited St Mary’s. This amazing group of people raised a staggering £500 at their Dead End Rally Charity Raffle!
Not only did they raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice, they also made a donation to the Oncology Unit at Furness General Hospital — how amazing! 😊

Gary Chelton, MAG Representative, said:
“As a group we have been hit by cancer throughout the last few years so St Mary’s Hospice seemed an obvious choice.”

Donations like this really do make a difference. Our services are always free for patients and families, but only 17% of our costs are covered by the Government — if our funding started on 1 January, it would all be spent by mid-March.

Thanks to everyone who donated to our rally charity raffle.
We raised £1000 which we split between two local cancer charities, CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria, and St Marys Hospice.

How nice it was to welcome members of the Furness Motor Cycle Action Group to St Marys Hospice last week. A marvellous £500 was raised for CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria and St Marys from a recent raffle. The members said "Quite a lot of our members and members of the Dalton Football Club have been affected by cancer and were helped and supported by both local charities so we were very pleased to raise funds for both". It is very much appreciated. Thanks you so much 😍
