Thanks to all that bought raffle tickets at our rally, we managed to raise £1000 which we split between St Marys Hospice and the FGH Oncology Unit.

We’ve been feeling so grateful this week for the incredible community support shown to St Mary’s

🥁 Drum roll please! It was fabulous to have some of the members of Furness Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) when they visited St Mary’s. This amazing group of people raised a staggering £500 at their Dead End Rally Charity Raffle!
Not only did they raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice, they also made a donation to the Oncology Unit at Furness General Hospital — how amazing! 😊

Gary Chelton, MAG Representative, said:
“As a group we have been hit by cancer throughout the last few years so St Mary’s Hospice seemed an obvious choice.”

Donations like this really do make a difference. Our services are always free for patients and families, but only 17% of our costs are covered by the Government — if our funding started on 1 January, it would all be spent by mid-March.
