Make note if you plan to make any changes to your driving test. New rules from tomorrow (31st March)

📢 Remember that from tomorrow (31 March), you will only be able to make 2 changes to a car driving test booking.

A change counts as:
✅ changing the date or time
✅ changing the test centre
✅ swapping your appointment with another learner who has a test booked

If you need to make more changes after you have used your 2 changes, you will need to cancel your test and book a new one.

Due to several test passes in the last 2 weeks I have some available slots for lessons. One of these is a Saturday afternoon slot and these do not come up often. My available slots are Saturdays 3-5pm. Mondays 3-5pm. Tuesdays 10-12 and Wednesdays 9-11am. If any of these slots fit your times drop me a PM and let’s get your driving adventure started

Some important changes coming to the test booking process. Have a read of these. From late spring (exact date to be announced) a driving instructor can no longer book a test on behalf of a pupil, only the pupil will be able to book and manage a test. This includes cancelling a test, changing a test day, time or test centre or swapping a test with another pupil.

You will no longer be able to book a test at any test centre in the U.K. in the hopes of securing a test date that you can then swap to your local centre. You will only be able to swap to a test centre near to where you made your original booking

From 31st March you will now only be allowed to make 2 changes to your test where it used to be 6. A change is classed as any change to date, time or test location and also includes swapping a test with another pupil.

It is important to be aware of these changes so that you don’t get caught out. It has been common practice all over the U.K. to book a test at any location on any date people can find and hen use a cancellation app to change the date to your local test centre at an earlier date. While it may still be possible to move the test to an earlier date you won’t be able to move it to your local test centre and you will only be able to do this twice
