Here's something we've been working on in-between projects.... Because who doesn't need a side project?
Winch boxes are nothing new, but seem to be growing in popularity, about 18 months ago I drew this up, and over the last few months come to fruition.
Primarily to assist with lane winch-outs avoiding taking the wreckers into places that are a squeeze, icy or just not practical. There will be times we still need to use a Rotator or top boom. And times it will be simpler to take the winch box or even both.
The box contains a H30 Superwinch mounted on a rigid boom that will offer a height advantage over the casualty. In addition the boom offers improved fleet angles so the rope pays on far better.
All the rigging equipment required to carry out the job is contained inside, along with an air reservoir to release the free-spool.
It fits to any telehandler and can be powered from the auxiliary supply.
