A belated well done to Harry Veal who passed his driving test last month on his first attempt.

Before starting his lessons on the road Harry did a couple of sessions at Dunsfold. His first session was back in May 2024, before doing another in April this year ahead of starting his lessons at the end of May.

Congratulations to Harry Veal on passing his practical driving test at Crawley test centre on Thursday morning (24/09/26). It was a great FIRST TIME pass with only a couple of driver faults!

Harry did an under 17 driving experience at Dunsfold back in May 2024, and then another in April this year before we started his lessons at the end of May.

Well done Harry, it's been a real pleasure to help you through the process. You made my job easy, picking things up really quickly and becoming a really safe driver. You kept any nerves at bay during the test and got the result you had been working hard to achieve.

When you do go out for that first solo drive in your car remember what you have learnt and keep safe.

Dillon Coward, 16, had his first driving experience at the Young Drivers Track at Dunsfold on Sunday morning.

Well done Dillon, after a nervous start you soon got into the swing of things and progressed nicely throughout the session.

We were able to get through a few gears changes, try out some junctions and even managed a bit of reversing, with a few tries of a ‘turn in the road’ towards the end.

The session today should set you up nicely for when you begin lessons on the road in a couple of weeks.

Mia Balchin, 16, had a session at the Young Drivers Track at Dunsfold on Sunday morning.

Well done Mia, it was good to see you remembered some things from the previous time you had spent at the track and was soon getting into the swing of things.

With some access limitations in place it allowed us to do a few different reversing exercises. You took on the challenge of a ‘turn in the road’ in a narrow section of road, before getting yourself into a parking space, both forward and reverse.

The skills learnt today will help prepare you nicely for when you are able to start lessons on the road next year.

As a result an extra date has been added to the remaining sessions that had previously been confirmed for 2026. After these dates have passed the next sessions will not be until January 2027.

Caleb Avery, 16, had his first experience at the Young Drivers Track at Dunsfold on Sunday morning.

Well done Caleb, you picked things up really well, and we were able to make great progress during the session.

The session will have provided a great foundation for when you are back at the track in a couple of weeks for another session, ahead of starting lessons on the road next month.

The auction for a 2 hour Young Driver session raised £95 for Peter Bellamy’s fundraiser in aid of St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley.
