50,000 subscribers… absolutely unbelievable.

What started as a passion project to make learning fun, exciting and accessible has grown into a community of 50,000 learners, families, teachers and supporters following along with Mr Bates Creates and I’m incredibly grateful.

From phonics adventures, mystery challenges, classroom content and educational experiences, to all the behind-the-scenes moments that never quite make the final edit… thank you for being part of the journey.

Every view, comment, share and subscribe has helped turn an idea into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

To think that together we’ve now built a community of 50,000 people who believe learning should be creative, memorable and fun is something I’ll never take for granted.

Wow wow wow wow wow! Natalie, you did it! And at the Crawley Driving Test Centre, AMAZING! You've worked so hard to get to today, and after failing your driving test a few times over the last few years you have done it! I am so so happy for you, and now you get that freedom that you deserve so so much! After having a slow steam engine truck near Pease Pottage services, that you needed to navigate last week. Then today at exactly the same point at the end of your driving test, you had a four wheeled pedal wagon towing a piano to deal with. If that's not a test from God then I don't know what is! You learnt your lesson last week with the steam engine, and dealt with the joyful 4 wheeled piano towing wagon amazingly today!! Thank you so much for all the fun and memories over the last few years. I'm really looking forward to seeing how driving changes your life, because it will! Take care out there and if you need anything you know where I'm at! 😃🙏🥳🚘

FIRST DRIVING TEST PASS IN JUNE!!

GINORMOUS congratulations to Allan for passing his Driving Test in Crawley last Friday. Seeing your face after you passed and how happy you were is exactly why I do this. It's the best feeling!! You were so close on your first attempt back in January, but this time you made it count. I had a feeling we were going to go through bolney, amazing that we'd driven through there just before your test! You drove so so well and deserve the freedom you have worked so hard for over the last year. You are an amazing person Allan and thank you for giving me the honour of helping you. Enjoy every minute of it and you know where I am if you need anything. Stay safe and take care out there 😃🙏🥳🚘

Ketsia... you did it!! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on passing your driving test first time in Crawley back in May. We had to delay it by a few months, but timing is everything and the right time finally came! No hard feelings about not having me in the back of the car... I forgive you 🤣 It was an absolute pleasure helping you trade the L plates for a nice shiny pink and blue driving licence! We had so much fun on lessons and honestly you made my life easy. You are an absolute natural! You clicked just at the right time, and finally got the better of the mini roundabout turning right at the end of your road. It can be a tricky one not being able to see much, until you get to the give way line... that's Ifield for ya 😉 Take care out there and you know where I'm at if you need any help. Enjoy!!! 🙏🫶🥳🚘

The most MASSIVE of congratulations to Lucy for passing her driving test in Crawley back in the middle of May!! You had a to work so so hard, if there's anyone who deserves this it's you Lucy! After having to deal with car issues on your first 2 tests... 1st test needing to use your brothers car with only 24hrs notice and only missing out because of a blind spot check. 2nd test needing to use my car and hour before your test because one of your tyres was below the legal limit. Driving better than your first test and again narrowly missing out. 3rd time really was the charm, finally getting to use your car with no more tyre and engine issues and achieving what you set out too regardless of all the problems. You kept going and I learnt so much from your bravery, getting up onesie time every single time you got knocked down. As Denzel Washington says, 'When you get knocked down 7 times, get back up 8!' Safe driving out there and let me know when you need me. I'm here when you need it!! 🙏🫶🥳🚘

Big CONGRATULATIONS to Marcus for passing his Driving Test in Burgess Hill back at the beginning of May. Marcus you are one of the most naturally gifted drivers I've shared the car with. and am so grateful for the time we spent together. Also a big THANK YOU to your Mum and Dad for being amazing in supporting you whilst you've been learning to drive, and ultimately helping you to pass your test. Doing that whilst studying for your A-Levels is no easy feat, and it's a testament to your dedication, attitude and having the highest of standards. Thank you for being so determined to pass, and doing it all before your A-Level exams starting. Thank you so much for giving me the privilege of helping you learn what ultimately is a privilege. Driving should be taken seriously, it's not just a rite of passage... it's a privilege to be able to do it and you now fully deserve to reap the rewards. Stay safe out there, enjoy it and if you need anything you know where to find me. Take care and Drive to Thrive!! 🙏😃🥳🚘

May 2026 Driving Test Passes!!

I have been rubbish with posting over the last few months. Promise I'm going to get better! Quick post to congratulate Marcus, Lucy and Ketsia for passing their tests in May. I'll be doing more detailed posts over the next few days congratulating them individually.
