"Today’s driving lesson came with an unexpected passenger… my son! 😂 Halfway through the lesson, he needed a little 5-minute break to regulate, so we pulled over. And honestly, Mark deserves a medal. Instead of making it awkward or treating it like an inconvenience, he got out of the car, grabbed a ball and played with him for a few minutes so he could reset and feel calm again. Meanwhile, I’m standing there thinking… Am I actually paying for a driving lesson or have I accidentally hired a driving instructor, child therapist and part-time football coach?! 😂 The patience, understanding and genuine kindness he showed was just amazing. Driving instructors teach you how to drive… but the really special ones understand that sometimes you need to stop, breathe, play a bit of ball and then carry on.

🚗 Important drug driving research

THINK Road Safety research shows many young male drivers underestimate the risk of driving on drugs: 41% think it’s OK to drive after taking them if they “feel fine”.

Reality check: Police can detect ANY amount of drugs at roadside. No safe limits. One positive test = lost licence + criminal record.

✅ Talk to your learner’s driving instructor about drug driving risks and legal consequences
✅ Understand that "feeling fine" doesn't mean you're not impaired
