They just don’t make them like they used to!
AUDI UR QUATTRO (MB ENGINE) OETTINGER EDITION 🦄
The UR Quattro - where do we begin? The star of the 1980 Geneva Motor Show. The first sports car with permanent all-wheel drive. 0 to 60mph in 6.3 seconds. The rally Quattros rewrote the book - today all World Rally Championship cars are four wheel drive - and firmly established Audi's slogan: "Vorsprung durch Technik".
A major change occurred with the 1988 Model Year with the introduction of the MB engine. The 2144cc solid lifter engine that had powered the Quattro since its launch was replaced with a 2226cc hydraulic lifter successor.
The transmission was completely overhauled for the MB engine - the centre open differential was replaced with a TORSEN torque-sensing differential. The MB was the rarest of all the UR-Quattros, and the 1989 MB was one of the the rarest Audis of all - only around 120 were built in total.
Rare in its own right just for its MB status, this example becomes even more special due to the Oettinger Tuning Pack added to the car from new. With all of the official Oettinger plaques under the bonnet and proudly presenting the tuning companies logo on the rear bumper, this unique example has been enthusiast owned throughout its life.
The odometer shows 78,819 miles from new with just 4 previous owners. The car even comes with the original roof racks and unused tow bar! A superbly original, low mileage example of an 80’s icon 😎🕺🏻
