Please DO NOT book your driving test before speaking to your driving instructor!!

Logging on the DVSA website at 545am on a Monday is the best way to secure a test, but try to log in other times during the week/day between 6am and 11pm, you might be lucky.

You have 10 working days to cancel it/change it (call that 2 weeks before) before you lose your fee.

You have only 2 swaps now. Previously we had upto 6!

You can only move your test to 3 other test locations:

Bedford - Can swap to Bletchley, Luton, Letchworth.

Bletchley - Can swap to Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Luton.

You CANNOT move a Bletchley test to Bedford (which I think is utterly bonkers when you can move Bedford to Bletchley).

If you book your driving test in any other location, you run the risk of not being able to move it to another test centre.

I cover Bletchley and Bedford test centres ONLY, as there is no way we can get to other test areas enough to practise those areas and carry out my normal work timetable.

If you have booked Kettering Northampton, Letchworth, Aylesbury, Wellingborough or Luton, Stevenage, St Albans or Northampton, please CANCEL it and rebook.

You will NOT be able to move you test location and date with just 2 swaps available.

Just some helpful advice so you don't waste time trying to find a driving test.

Congratulations to Katie, who passed her driving test in Bletchley yesterday. This was her 1st GREAT attempt at SSSOM, with only 3 dfs (driving faults)!

Well done with all the hard work, determination, perseverance and private practise with parents. This pass was so well deserved.

Now you can work towards your C1 licence and follow your dream career path!

It has been an absolute pleasure, I am so glad to be part of your journey to help you reach your driving goal.

Congratulations to Rhian, who passed her driving test in Bletchley yesterday. This was her 1st SUPERB attempt at SSSOM, with only 2 dfs (driving faults)!

A thoroughly deserved result, due to all her hard work, determination, perseverance and private practise with parents. And all perfectly timed before she embarks on another life travelling adventure. It has been an absolute pleasure and I am so glad to be part of your journey to help you reach your driving goal.

Congratulations to Kawin, who passed his driving test in Bedford on Thursday. This was his 1st attempt at SSSOM, with 11dfs (driving faults).

A good result, due to all his hard work, determination, perseverance, during his lessons, but without being able to practise outside of lessons.

Congratulations to Immy, who passed her driving test in Bedford yesterday. This was her 1st attempt at SSSOM, with 7dfs (driving faults)!

A well deserved result, due to all her hard work, determination, perseverance and private practise with her dad.

It has been a pleasure and the first time a pupil has had lessons in 3 different towns and cities and even had a go on the motorway.

Good luck for the future, but hopefully we might see you again soon for some more motorway driving experience...

After just 7 passes (due to the huge 6 month waiting time for driving tests), today is my car's final day as a driving school car.

From tomorrow morning, she will be prepped ready to become someone else's private car and probably never to become a driving school car ever again.

This has been one of the best ones in 16 years, apart from the lane departure warning, which would never allow you to switch it off?! And thankfully no tyre problems during the 13 months of ownership, despite all the kerb excursions and pot hole visits.

Now, after 10 years of Peugeot's, 3 years of Vauxhall Corsa's and 3 years of Fiat 500's, it's time for an elected change.
Once the butt of jokes about skips and wheelbarrow's, the next car will be a...SKODA!
