AVRO The Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators is the UK number one trade association for professional recovery operators.

AVRO was founded in 1977 by a group of independent vehicle recovery operators whose primary aim was to raise standards in the recovery industry. Today AVRO operates throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland through 14 regions and is the only representative body with a recognised set of standards.

We have space left on a VR12 – Ancillary Equipment (heavy vehicle recovery) course due to take place on 8th May 2026 in Norwich.

This course covers the use of tow bars as well as recovery and lifting using the Dutch Recovery System of lifting from the towing eyes.
