I picked up this Cinquecento with 35k on the clock the other day.
Starts fine 99% of the time, ticks over for a minute or so maybe longer at times then cuts out, no spluttering just cuts out dead, injector light on dash, will struggle to restart straight away, leave it a minute and it fires up straight away, it's not an issue of something failing when hot as the car is cold, I'm suspecting something electrical or fuel starvation.

Off she goes to a new owner. Didn't get what I wanted for it, apparently the mileage went against it but the condition speaks for itself.
Going to a good fella and might have a "LITTLE" Italian coming the other way.
Thoroughly enjoyed fixing up the mini and I'd have another in a heartbeat.

I feel I've brought the 02 back up to a good reliable clean standard so it's time to sell it on.

I've thoroughly enjoyed owning/fixing this car, it's not concourse but as above, clean, tidy and reliable.
it's on 149k, leather seats, cruise control, climate control
4x Continental tyres all with good amount of tread
Upgraded speakers
6 months mot
Oil and filter change
New cooling fan resistor, new expansion tank cap
New radiator along with coolant flush, good brakes all round, new rear pads, new cv boots, loads of little jobs done
Bodywork is in good condition but at 19 years old it's not perfect, the worst is a small dink/dent on the haunch of the n/s rear quarter (last pic)
I'm asking £1995 ono. Opinions on pricing welcome and I am open to sensible offers.

It's been a while, self employment is very much in the background now I'm back at work,
Nearing the end with the Cooper S now, lots of work done, thoroughly enjoying driving it and will be hard to let it go, I sacked off the cheap induction cone and fitted the correct air intake, Airbox and k&N panel filter, I get the hype now, these things have great throttle response and nice linear boost. Great handling hot hatch feeling.

Starts and runs for loading purposes but has a mega oil leak believed to be a hole in the sump,
I'm not looking in to it, only came with v5 and 1 key all tyres have a good amount of tread, it's a complete car
Due to the oil leak test drives are not an option, I'll switch it on to show it starts and runs then switch it off to avoid possible engine damage.
I can deliver for a rate to be agreed.

A nice bit of progress on the R53 Cooper S today
New serpentine belt, New radiator along with a spare undamaged fan shroud(most seem to split Inc the original on this)
Correct 2 plug fan, fresh coolant and a working boot release handle.
I originally thought that was it for the list of jobs but it needs an inner cv boot and I might as well give it fresh oil and a new filter.
I'll be installing a replacement air box and intake hose as the cone filter on it is a bad fit and the intake hose is split, After that it's a good clean and tidy up

Boot now open, corroded contacts in the handle so hopefully they'll clean up, coolant loss seemed to be coming from the bottom of the rad so I'll swap that out, while the front was off I could see the auxiliary belt was well worn so I'll be replacing that, the need for a specific tool to release the aux belt tensioner halts play for today, plus I'm cold😭, time to get a coffee
