A bad headliner can really let a car down, especially when it's an otherwise clean and solid car.

This Mk2 golf GTI headliner arrived in 3 pieces where it had cracked around the sunroof so we stripped, cleaned, repaired, and finished it in some beautiful black 4 way stretch suede ready for it to be fitted back into the customer's car.

Lovely day in the sun working on this Citroen Berlingo dog van.

False floor covered with some customer supplied rubber matting to make cleaning a little easier, layer of thermal.insulation for the roof panel with headliner and spotlights added then trimmed in the highest quality carpet to complete the build.

Drawers fitted with heavy duty ball bearing runners and magnetic close to secure and allow easy access to all of the gear required for this customer's needs.

Had a little spare time and started to whip up a bit of a prototype for some storage pockets along the roof of the MK2 caddy. RGB strips will be going in the smaller slots with some frosted perspex over the top. Going to be putting together a ply lining and carpet package for the caddy including a headliner for the rear area and a one piece floor board, if you want to transform the inside of your caddy or just want to smarten up your daily. How very dashing.

This is an absolute transformation for the very dated standard dash / interior on these vans.

Polo 6k2 dashboard, loom and heater matrix conversion completed in the little red mk2 Caddy retaining all features from the original car. I'll get the mounted and the seats bolted down later on today. Just waiting on bits to arrive and we'll be back on the road 😎

That's the caddy almost wrapped up as far as the interior goes, got to find the wire for the reverse light feed, bolt the front seats back in, and mount my front and centre (right)

Solid day's work on this customer's berlingo. Previously carpeted by us we made a start on getting the false floor and storage for this little working dog van and added ventilation to keep the pooches fresh and cool, now it's back to work for a bit until it comes back to us to be completed with insulation, headlining, lighting and more!

The MK2 caddy should have come like this from the factory.

Dashboard, loom, heater matrix and interior plastics taken from a 6k2 polo saloon and put into our Caddy TDI.

Just need to splice the back half of the original loom to the new one and she'll be good to go.

Being down to zero practical modes of transport is really not ideal, but still we push on.

Replacement engine for the caddy after a waterlogging issue 🥴 took the opportunity to add an engine raiser to the gearbox mount, poly steering rack bushing and a battery relocator from a lupo GTI. And partially tuck the wiring loom. Mocked up an unknown intercooler as an upgrade over the standard one, just need to make some boost pipes and it will be good to go.

Now to tackle the dashboard conversion 😎

⚠️ Under Construction ⚠️

Been toying with this idea for a while, there's always stuff rolling around in the back of the caddy, so I wanted to make some storage spaces that face the front of the van, this just so happens to also give us the space to run 2 12" subs and the iconic V12 amp. Looking forward to getting this sealed up and carpeted.
