It’s not every day you see a BMW Z3 in Mint Green! This classic roadster came into the workshop boasting electric sports seats and an incredible rare colourway, but it had a couple of stubborn issues under the surface:
❌ Electric seat movement stopped functioning
❌ Airbag warning light on the dash

This beautiful BMW Alpina F10 came to us with an engine fault that required proper diagnosis rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best.
After carrying out a full diagnostic check, we identified a fault related to the air intake system. The data suggested that something wasn’t quite right, so the next step was to investigate further and find the root cause.

Using a professional smoke testing machine, we pressurised the intake system and quickly discovered several loose intake pipes that were allowing unmetered air to enter the engine.
βœ… Full fault code diagnosis
βœ… Air intake system inspection
βœ… Smoke test carried out to locate leaks
βœ… Multiple loose intake pipes identified
βœ… Intake system repaired and secured
βœ… Follow-up smoke test completed
βœ… System confirmed fully sealed and leak-free

After tightening and securing all affected components, we carried out another smoke test to verify the repair. The intake system was now completely sealed with no further leaks detected, allowing the engine management system to receive accurate readings once again.
A perfect example of why proper diagnostics are so important. Finding the actual cause of a fault saves unnecessary parts replacement, reduces costs, and gets the vehicle repaired correctly the first time.
