We’re aware that there can sometimes be a little confusion between Herald Way Garage and Herald Way Tyres, as we’re right next door to each other.

Although we’re neighbours, we are two completely separate businesses, with separate customer parking areas.

👉 If you’re visiting Herald Way Tyres, please make sure you park in their designated parking area rather than the spaces belonging to Herald Way Garage.

MOT Collection Service 🚗🏠

Too busy to bring your car to us?

We offer a convenient vehicle collection service for MOTs and servicing throughout Coventry.

✅ We collect your car from your home
✅ Bring it to the garage
✅ Return it once the work is complete

Perfect if you’re working from home, have mobility issues, or simply don’t have time to drop your vehicle off.

📍 Available across Coventry (excluding the city centre due to parking restrictions).

Please note: We need to be able to leave one of our own vehicles at the collection address while we bring yours in.

Can the person who owns the red Vauxhall Astra with two flat front tyres and dropped it off on the car park. No keys. Please come and remove it or at least bring the keys down asap. The car has been dropped at the wrong garage and is blocking the whole car park.
It will be removed and left on the road if we haven’t been contacted.

🌞 HOT WEATHER = EXTRA STRESS ON YOUR CAR! 🚗

With temperatures reaching 30°C, your car is working harder than usual. Here are 5 quick checks you can do before setting off:

✅ Coolant – Make sure it’s topped up (never remove the cap when the engine is hot!).
✅ Tyre pressures – Heat can affect tyre pressure, so check them when the tyres are cold.
✅ Engine temperature – Keep an eye on the dashboard. If it starts creeping into the red, stop safely and let the engine cool.
✅ Air conditioning – Not blowing cold air? It might just need a regas.
✅ Water for you! – Don’t forget the driver. Stay hydrated, especially on longer journeys.

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for the man behind the scenes at Herald Way Garage.

Barrie Surtees turns 80 today.

Over the years, the business has moved through various locations before finding its home here at Herald Way, where we’ve proudly served the Coventry community for the past 26 years.

Many of our long-standing customers will know Barrie well. Whether you’ve been coming to us for decades or only recently discovered us, the values that built Herald Way Garage are the same values that continue to guide us today.

80 years young, still passionate about the business, and still the heart of what we do.
