Mystery coolant loss on a JLR Ingenium? Here's where it goes...
If you're topping up coolant on a 2.0 Ingenium engine (Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport, Jaguar XE/XF F-Pace) with no obvious external drips on the floor, the issue could be hiding right inside your boost pipes.
The charge air cooler suffered an internal core failure.
Coolant in the Boost System: Instead of just cooling the intake air, pressurized coolant was forced directly into the boost hoses.
Left unchecked the engine sucks coolant straight into the combustion chambers. This can cause misfires, DPF contamination, and in extreme cases, hydraulic lock and engine damage.
Another common Ingenium design flaw caught early before it turned into a complete engine rebuild.
All repairs covered by our 12-month or 8,000-mile warranty.
