Good Evening All,

Despite the fairly horrible weather we have been experiencing over the last few weeks, it hasn't stopped us performing observation rides (at least during the intervening drier/less windy periods) and Advanced Tests are still taking place.

It is with that in mind that I am able to share some wonderful news, that being another IAM RoadSmart Advanced Motorcycle test pass 🏅

Huge congratulations to Jon B, who performed very well on test, showcasing to examiner that he has all of the skills of an advanced rider.

Many congratulations, Jon, and to his Observer, Gary, and we wish you the very best for the future. In the meantime, weather-permitting, we will see you on Sunday for the CAMADAR December Social Ride! 😁

Good afternoon All

More fantastic news to share with you. Last Thursday another one of our associates, Taner, was demonstrating his bike skills, undertaking his IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Test under the very watchful eye of examiner Geraint Hughes and was awarded a F1rst. Geraint doesn't award many F1rst's but Taner achieved that threshold with an excellent ride.

Huge congratulations to Taner, and his Observer, Graham, on a job very well done ✅🏅

Good Evening All,

More fantastic news to share with you tonight. Whilst many of the group were out enjoying the CAMADAR November Social Ride yesterday, one of our associates, Jim, was hard at work, undertaking his IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Test.

It came as no surprise on my return, to hear that Jim had passed his test, as I performed his PTCR a few weeks earlier where he delivered an excellent ride.

Huge congratulations to Jim, and his Observer, Wayne, on a job very well done ✅🏅

Good Evening All,

Following on from what was an excellent CAMADAR Slow Riding Day 2025 on Sunday, there is further cause for celebration within the group 🥳

Yesterday, associate Steve Wilkinson, passed his IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Test, claiming a coveted F1RST! 🥇

Having undertaken Steve's Pre-Test Check Ride, this result comes as absolutely no surprise and is thoroughly well deserved. From everyone at Congleton IAM, I would like to congratulate Steve, and his Observer, Graham, on a job very well done 👏

Welcome to the "Advanced Riders Club", Steve, and we wish you all the very best for the future.

Good Evening All,

Many thanks to the ~55 riders who joined us yesterday for the CAMADAR Slow Riding Day 2025. Although the weather forecast wasn't great, it actually turned out OK, with just a few light showers, and even that didn't seem to dampen spirits, with the feedback from the event being overwhelmingly positive.

Those in attendance had the opportunity, within a safe and controlled environment, to practice their slow riding and machine control skills across a variety of courses, which included slaloms, figures of 8, U-turns, controlled stops as well as tight right and left turns. Our team of Congleton IAM motorcycle observers were on on hand at each "stop box" to provide some advice and guidance, and it was clear that as the morning went on, every rider improved their machine control as their confidence levels increased, which was a delight to see.

Thanks must go to Cheshire Police for allowing us use of their large car park at Cheshire Police HQ and to Cheshire Police Bike Cops for their ongoing support and collaboration. Given the success of this, and recent iterations of this event, plans are already afoot for 2026, where it is likely we will be running two of these events, again at Cheshire Police HQ, one at the start of the riding season, and another again towards the end. Please do keep an eye on our page for the details and we very much look forward to seeing you there!

It really has been a wonderful couple of weeks for Congleton IAM, and the good news 📰 keeps on coming!
Today, another of our associates, Paul, has passed his advanced motorcycle test ✅. It has been a delight working with Paul, and for those at the CAMADAR Slow Riding Day 2025 on Sunday, you will see him there on his Triumph 🐅

Good Morning All,

As some of the group prepare for our October social ride (waterproofs at the ready) I would like to bring you some fantastic news to digest over your Sunday breakfast!

On Friday, one of our associates, Helen, passed her advanced motorcycle test 🏅

Helen Wright has shown total commitment to her advanced training and since joining the group in the summer, has developed her skills and confidence immeasurably. She is a role model for "practice makes perfect" and so it came as no surprise when I got the message on Friday to say she had passed! It is also a special pass for our group, as this was the 150th motorcycle test pass for CAMADAR 🥳🎂

From everyone at Congleton IAM, I would like to wish you all the very best for the future, Helen, and we look forward to seeing you at future CAMADAR events, it was a real pleasure working with you 👊🏻

Good Morning Folks,

I have some excellent news to bring you on this Friday morning! This week, trainee IAM RoadSmart Observers, Andy and Jason, both sat (rode) their Observer tests, and passed with flying colours under the watchful eye of ASDM, Dave Cox.

Their journey to becoming IAM RS Observers started late last year, and since then, they have both been diligently digesting the contents of the Observer Handbook, Associate Logbook and undertaken many training rides with all of the current CAMADAR Observer Team. This has allowed them to develop and refine their observer skills and I have no doubt that they will make excellent additions to our team, further helping us, and our group, in achieving our road safety mission.

I would therefore like to congratulate them both once again, and I am delighted to (officially) welcome them to the Congleton IAM motorcycle section Observer Team!

Good Afternoon All,

It has been a little while since my last post, apologies for that, but as the old adage goes, good things come to those who wait.

And with a nod to mixing my metaphors, you wait ages, and then two come along together, and that is exactly the case for us here at Congleton IAM. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS are in order for Bryan J (Observer: Graham) and Michael A (Observer: Scott), who both passed their IAM RoadSmart Advanced Motorcycle Tests over the last week, the former gaining a F1RST 🥳. This is testament to their dedication and it gives me great pleasure to welcome them to the "Advanced Riders Club" 🏍🏆.

Finally, for those wondering, details of this month's social ride will be posted up in the next couple of days, so stay tuned!
