Everyone’s doing the “What I looked like in the 80s” trend… so we thought we’d join in. 🚗💨
This is our Vauxhall & Alfa Romeo salesman at Slaters Colwyn Bay, circa 1986.
Mullet? Check.
Shoulder pads you could land a plane on? Check.
Double-breasted suit the colour of a melted Cornetto? Absolutely.
Standing next to a brand-new Cavalier SRi like he was about to close the deal of the decade? You better believe it.
He’ll tell you he was “pure sales dynamite” back then.
The rest of us just remember the hair and the fact he used more hairspray than the entire staff of Smash Hits.
