Some handover photos mean a little more to us than the customers probably realise, and this is definitely one of them! ❤️
It was fantastic to welcome Jay Dunlop from Evolution Gym NI based just next door to us at Kamin Ltd, Somerset House, Coleraine., to collect his stunning new BMW X3 in Brooklyn Grey! 🚙
But this one is about much more than a new car.
Our relationship with Jay and Evolution Gym goes back almost 20 years. Around 10 years ago, Jay and Laura Dunlop took that brave step of going out on their own and building their own business.
We were delighted to support them back then, and we're every bit as delighted to support them today.
Anyone who runs a small business knows it isn't always easy. There are long hours, sacrifices, difficult decisions and plenty of challenges along the way. That's why there's something genuinely rewarding about watching another local business grow and succeed, particularly when you've been part of each other's journey for so long.
💙 And that's something we feel really strongly about here at Roadside.
Coleraine and the wider Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Councilt are full of fantastic independent businesses, many of them family-owned just like ourselves.
Imagine the difference we could make to our local economy if we all made a conscious effort to support one another a little more.
Whether it's buying locally, recommending another business, sharing opportunities or simply picking up the phone to help someone out, these things matter.
We're fortunate to have built some fantastic relationships with local businesses and people over the years, including Michael Devine at Chill Foodhall, Michael Moffat at Man 1984 and many others who all contribute to making our local business community what it is.
We also believe organisations like Causeway Chamber, Coleraine Connect have such an important role to play in bringing our business community closer together.
For us, it's about more than simply getting businesses together at events. It's about building genuine friendships, encouraging collaboration and creating lasting relationships where local businesses actively look out for one another.
Because a strong local business community isn't built on what we can get from each other. It's built on what we can do for each other.
We're a family business ourselves, and for over 40 years the loyalty and support of local people and businesses have played a huge part in our success. That's something we'll never take for granted.
Jay and Laura, congratulations on everything you've achieved. Thank you both for your continued friendship, loyalty and support. We wish you many more years of success! ❤️
And to all our fellow local businesses, let's keep supporting one another, recommending one another and celebrating each other's successes.
The stronger our local businesses become, the stronger Coleraine becomes. 💙
When local businesses do well, Coleraine does well. 💙
