🚨🚐 GRINDING INTO GEAR? This Transit Custom was telling its owner something wasn’t right! ⚙️😬

This Ford Transit Custom came into All Trans after the customer reported grinding and difficulty selecting gears, particularly 2nd.

Jon got straight onto the investigation, road testing the van to experience the fault himself before carrying out further checks. 🔍🔧

The gear selector and cables were operating correctly, but further investigation pointed towards an internal gearbox failure affecting 2nd gear and the synchro.

With the fault diagnosed, we gave the customer a price for the repair. They were happy to go ahead, so it was over to Tony! 💪

While the van was with us, the customer also decided to have the wet belt replaced as it was due, giving them that extra peace of mind for the future. 👌

✅ Replacement gearbox fitted
✅ New clutch fitted
✅ Wet belt replaced
✅ Reassembled and thoroughly tested
✅ Gear selection back as it should be!

One visit, some big jobs ticked off and a Transit Custom back on the road! 🚐💨

💚🔧 A Land Rover on the ramp and we know someone who’s happy! 😂🔧

This Land Rover Discovery was in with us at All Trans Autos for a big bit of preventative maintenance the front AND rear timing belt replacement. 👨‍🔧

And there was only one man for the job… our Tony, who absolutely LOVES a Land Rover! 😍😂

Tony got stuck in and carried out:

✅ Front timing belt replacement
✅ Rear timing belt replacement
✅ Everything reassembled and thoroughly checked
✅ Ready to get back on the road 🙌

🔍🔧 Two leaks reported… two leaks found and fixed! 🔧🔍

This Peugeot Swift came into All Trans Autos after the customer reported concerns about both a fuel leak and an oil leak.

Joss got the vehicle into the workshop and carried out an investigation to find exactly where each leak was coming from. 👨‍🔧

He found:

🛢️ Oil leak coming from the timing cover
⛽ Fuel leak coming from the fuel tank seals

Once the repairs were authorised, Joss got to work:

✅ Timing cover leak repaired
✅ Fuel tank seals replaced
✅ Vehicle run back up
✅ Rechecked and all OK 🙌

This Mazda Bongo came into All Trans Autos for a full service, including our comprehensive 70 point health check. 👀

While carrying out the checks, Joss spotted a slight coolant leak coming from the offside metal coolant pipe. 💧🔍

Rather than letting a small leak potentially turn into a much bigger problem, we:

✅ Identified the source of the coolant leak
✅ Priced the replacement pipes
✅ Got authorisation from the customer
✅ Joss replaced the pipes
✅ Checked everything over and got the Bongo ready for the road again 🙌

🚐🔧 This van needed a BIG job… but it’s now ready for another year on the road! 🚐 🔧

It originally came to us for its MOT but during the inspection we found it needed some more substantial repairs to keep it safe and roadworthy.

Our team carried out:

✅ Replacement rear axle beam assembly (supplied as a complete unit due to the suspension arm)
✅ New front track rod end
✅ New front brake pads and discs
✅ MOT completed

Now it’s back on the road, safe, reliable and ready to keep this business moving for another year! 👏🚐

This beautiful 1971 MG B rolled into All Trans Autos for its MOT and what a pleasure it was to have it in the workshop! 🇬🇧✨

Simon had the honour of carrying out its inspection, and it’s clear this classic has been incredibly well cared for over the years.

A big credit goes to its owner, Barry, who carries out a lot of the maintenance himself and has kept this MG B looking and driving beautifully. 👏🔧

It’s always a privilege to see such an iconic piece of motoring history come through our doors, and we love helping to keep classics like this safely on the road for future generations to enjoy. ❤️

This company contacted us after their van developed some worrying driving issues. 😟

Our technician Jon carried out a full investigation and found:
✅ New driveshaft required
✅ Front brake pads and discs replaced
✅ Engine management light diagnosed
✅ Faulty NOx sensor replaced
✅ New AdBlue injector fitted

After completing all the repairs, the van is now back on the road driving exactly as it should! 💪👏

🚗 🔧 Investigation and repair… all in one visit! 👏

This customer had their vehicle recovered to All Trans after the gear stick suddenly became loose whilst reversing, leaving them only able to select a few gears. 😬

Our technician Joel carried out an investigation and quickly found the cause. 🔍

❌ The gear selector cable had failed, and the outer mounting casing had split apart, preventing the selector cable from operating correctly.

🛠️ The repair that Jon carried out:
✅ Replaced the gear selector cables
✅ Tested all gear selection
✅ Road tested the vehicle to make sure no further issues

The vehicle is now selecting every gear perfectly and is back on the road as it should! 🚗💨
