Do you love cars, cameras, social media and making things look better online than they probably did in real life? 👀🚗

We’re looking for a Part-Time Content Creator to work across Rallysport Automotive and All Trans Autos in Colchester.

This role will involve creating content between both businesses, covering everything from the workshop, car sales, behind-the-scenes moments, vehicle walkarounds, repairs, team content, and the occasional “quick video” that somehow turns into a full production 🎬😂

You’ll be helping us create content for:

📱 Facebook
📸 Instagram
🎵 TikTok
▶️ YouTube

What you’ll be doing:

📸 Taking photos of cars, workshop jobs and sales vehicles
🎥 Filming videos, reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts
🚗 Creating vehicle walkaround videos
🛠️ Capturing workshop content and behind-the-scenes clips
✍️ Writing captions and post ideas
😄 Being comfortable in front of the camera when needed
💡 Coming up with fresh ideas to promote both businesses
📅 Helping us stay consistent online
🎬 Making our day-to-day work look interesting, professional and engaging

Who we’re looking for:

We’re not expecting you to arrive with a Hollywood film crew and a drone licence — although we wouldn’t complain 👀

The ideal person will be:

✅ Creative and full of ideas
✅ Confident using social media
✅ Comfortable taking photos and videos
✅ Able to edit short-form videos
✅ Comfortable being on camera
✅ Reliable, organised and self-motivated
✅ Interested in cars, motorsport or the automotive industry
✅ Happy working around a busy workshop and car sales environment
✅ Able to make a brake disc, gearbox, sales car or team member look exciting online 😂

🚗🔧 Discovery Sport back on the road after some fault finding! 🔧🚗

This Land Rover Discovery Sport came into us with the Engine Management Light illuminated on the dashboard ⚠️

After carrying out diagnostics, we found the vehicle unfortunately had a few different issues that needed resolving 👀

One of the main faults was the common failure of the EGR cooler which is something we see regularly on these vehicles 😬

Our team got to work:
✅ Diagnosed the faults properly
✅ Replaced the failed EGR cooler
✅ Carried out the necessary checks and repairs
✅ Cleared faults and retested the vehicle

Now everything is fitted and working as it should, with the customer happily back on the road again 💪🚗💨

🚗🔧 Timing chain replacement carried out! 🔧🚗

A lot of people assume timing chains last forever… but unfortunately that’s not always the case 👀

Unlike cambelts, most timing chains don’t have a replacement interval but they can still wear over time and end up needing replacement 😬

Typical signs include:
👉 Rattling noise on cold start-up
👉 Engine management light appearing
👉 Vehicle not sounding or running quite right

That’s exactly what happened with this one. Starting as a slight rattle from cold before developing into a warning light on the dash ⚠️

Our team got to work replacing the timing chain and getting everything back running smoothly again 💪✅

Ignoring noises like this can lead to much bigger engine problems, so it’s always worth getting checked early 👌

There’s not many times you walk into the workshop and find a technician literally inside the engine bay 😅🚗

We’re still not entirely convinced Tony understands the rules of hide and seek properly… 👀🤣

In fairness though sometimes that’s what it takes to get the job done right 💪🔧

Whether it’s servicing, MOTs, diagnostics or major repairs like on this car our team always goes above and beyond (sometimes quite literally 😂) to keep our customers on the road safely.

🚗🔧 Clutch replacement carried out on this Kia Rio! 🚗 🔧

The customer made us aware that the clutch pedal didn’t feel quite right 👀

Our team carried out an investigation and found the clutch had excessive wear, which explained the unusual pedal feel 😬

To get everything back working as it should, we fitted:
✅ New clutch components
✅ Rechecked operation and road tested the vehicle

Now the car is back on the road driving smoothly again 💪🚗💨

🚗🔧 Timing belt replacement carried out on this Honda at All Trans Autos! 🔧🚗

A lot of people think cambelts only need replacing based on mileage… but that’s only half the story 👀

Even if your car hasn’t covered many miles, time itself can deteriorate the rubber belt 😬⏰

That’s why manufacturers give both age and mileage intervals because a failed timing belt can lead to some very expensive engine damage 💸

This school bus came in for tyres and brakes to make sure it stays in top-tip condition and, most importantly, keeps the school children travelling safely every day.

🚐🔧 Motorhome brake overhaul at All Trans Autos! 🚐 🔧

This motorhome was in with Simon for new brake pads and discs which is an important job on any vehicle, especially something this size 💪

Our team didn’t just throw parts on and call it a day either 👌
The brake carriers were removed, sand blasted, cleaned up properly and lubricated before everything was rebuilt with the new components ✨

It’s all about doing the job right and making sure these larger vehicles are safe and ready for the road ahead 🛣️☀️

With summer approaching and motorhomes heading off on adventures, keeping braking systems in top condition is more important than ever 🚐💨
