Rallysport Automotive is an independent service centre and used car dealership. Rallysport Engineering Academy lead the field in alternative education in Essex.

We specialise in teaching motor vehicle mechanics to a wide range of young learners aged between 14 and 16. A community interest company, of which, any profits generated are re-invested back into our community projects. With academy's in both Wickford and Colchester, we also have a new service and repair centre opening soon in Colchester. Those who attend our academy can be guaranteed a safe and unique introduction into the motor vehicle industry, carried out by a highly skilled team, in a safe and friendly workshop environment. The Rallysport Engineering Academy is an alternative education provision, specialising in the teaching of motor vehicle mechanics, to learners, from all backgrounds. We have been specifically set up to assist those students who would find the normal learning environment a challenge, or to those who find the hands on approach to learning more beneficial. To date the Rallysport Engineering Academy has worked with over 25 different schools and organisations offering a roll-on roll-off service, of which, students can join any time during the academic year and start working towards completing a level one qualification. The curriculum at the academy is based on a philosophy of "learning by doing", We teach a level one qualification, of which, 80% of students learning time is practical based, carried out in our fully equipped workshop. We re-enforce the skills students learn by creating once in a lifetime projects such as the Rallysport Kit Car and Focus WRC Replica. At the academy we endeavour to teach all of our students the skills and techniques needed to help them realise their potential, gain responsibility for their actions, and provide them with the strongest possible foundations to which they can build upon and create a prosperous career in the motor vehicle industry, whilst ensuring that they are always supervised by experienced staff and working to stringent health and safety regulations.

We’ve always believed that if we want our team to be the best they can be, we need to give them the opportunities, training and tools to get there. 🙌

The motor trade is constantly changing, with new technology and increasingly complex vehicles coming through our workshop doors every day.

That’s why we’re committed to continually investing in our technicians’ knowledge, skills and development, alongside making sure they have the best equipment to do their jobs properly.

This week, Wayne and Tom spent two days in Wi******er completing their Level 4 Electric Vehicle training, joining the other Level 4 qualified technicians we already have here at Rallysport! ⚡🚗

It’s fantastic to see more of our team reaching this level, strengthening the knowledge and expertise we already have within our workshop.

And of course, in true Wayne and Tom style, they couldn’t visit Wi******er without leaving their mark… by hiding a few ducks along the way! 🦆😂

Because apparently two days of technical training isn’t complete without a little bit of mischief!

We’re incredibly proud of the team we’re building, and we know that investing in their future ultimately means we’re giving our customers the best possible service too.

We don’t want our technicians to stand still. We want them to keep learning, developing and feeling proud of what they can achieve.

💚🚗 Jake wasn’t waiting around for this one! 🚗💚

Jake spotted this stunning Ford Focus ST3 as soon as it went live on our website, even though it was only listed as ‘Awaiting Preparation’ and we hadn’t even taken the photos for the full advert yet! 👀

But that didn’t stop him… and looking at it in this gorgeous grey, we can completely understand why! 😍

This time it was Stanley collecting his lovely new Volvo V40! 🙌

Before Stanley arrived to collect his new car, our workshop team had been busy making sure everything was properly prepared and ready for him to enjoy.

As with all our vehicles, the Volvo received:

💚🔧 A strange noise coming from this BMW 2 Series! 🔧💚

This BMW 2 Series came into Rallysport Automotive after its owner noticed an unusual rotational noise and wanted us to investigate.

Our workshop team got it in, had a good look over everything and found a few components that needed attention.

🔧 Auxiliary drive belt
🔧 Belt tensioner
🔧 Engine mount

All three were replaced, and we’re pleased to say the noise has now gone and everything is running as it should! 🙌

It’s always worth getting unusual noises checked out. Sometimes what sounds like a small rattle or whine can be a sign of something that needs attention before it develops into a bigger problem.

💚🚗 Spotted online, secured and collected in one visit! 🚗💚

A lovely handover for T and his new BMW 435d! 🙌

T spotted the BMW online and decided it was the one for him, so he secured it with us before making the journey to Rallysport.

While T was waiting, our workshop team got busy preparing the car, making sure everything was ready for his visit.

💚🔧 A rattle on start-up that needed a little more than a quick fix! 🔧💚

This Vauxhall Astra came into Rallysport Automotive after its owner noticed a rattling noise when starting the engine.

Our technician Wayne got to work investigating the noise and diagnosed the problem as a worn timing chain.

Timing chains are an important part of keeping your engine running correctly, and when they start to wear, a rattle on start-up can be one of the warning signs.

🔧 Timing chain replaced
✅ Rattle resolved and everything running as it should!

Hugo brought his Nintendo Switch to work. He’s now trying to part-exchange it for a Tesla. 🎮😂

Our 10-year-old Tesla fan has taken over presenting duties to show you HIS favourite: our Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD. ⚡💚

🌧️ The horrific weather brought us inside for filming. Hugo heard “stay indoors and investigate the games” and immediately declared himself available for work.

His priorities? Games, snacks and a car that puts on its own light show. Honestly, a thorough review.

🎮 Big touchscreen with Arcade games to enjoy while parked — a strong opening argument.
🌤️ Expansive glass roof — for the occasional break from screens.
🧳 Storage at the front AND back — Hugo has already allocated the snack department.
🔌 Fully electric — plugs in like his Switch, although it needs a slightly bigger parking space.
✨ Tesla light show — because apparently simply being a car wasn’t enough.

For the grown-ups: it’s a spacious electric SUV with all-wheel drive and plenty of everyday family appeal. For Hugo: negotiations with Dad are ongoing. 😂
