Just outside of Braintree carrying out a timing belt replacement on this stunning Ford Ranger 2.0.

Our customer had initially booked in for our Option 2 wet belt package alongside a major service. However, after removing the front timing cover and carrying out our inspection, we found the engine to be exceptionally clean internally, with no signs that the additional Option 2 work was required at this stage.

Rather than carrying out unnecessary work, we advised the customer to proceed with our Option 1 package instead, saving them money while ensuring the vehicle received exactly what it needed.

The timing belt showed signs of age-related cracking, which is normal, but importantly there was no evidence of belt delamination. All replacement parts fitted were genuine Ford components, ensuring reliability and peace of mind.

Another Ford Ranger maintained to the highest standard and back on the road ready for many more miles.

Out in Ipswich carrying out a major service on this Ford Transit Custom 2.0.

The customer was unsure of the vehicle’s service history, so it was important to ensure all maintenance was brought up to date. We had previously carried out a wet belt inspection and were pleased to find the belt in good condition.

For this service, we fitted genuine Ford parts throughout, helping to maintain reliability, performance, and manufacturer standards.

Regular servicing is essential to keep your vehicle running efficiently, reduce the risk of costly repairs, and maximise its lifespan.

Over in Rugby today carrying out a full transmission service and engine service on this Ford Ranger 2.0.

We originally replaced the timing belt on this vehicle late last year, and it’s great to see it back with us for further maintenance.

The customer reported that the gearbox was feeling jittery during gear changes. As part of the transmission service, we updated the Ford TCM (Transmission Control Module) software to the latest calibration, helping to improve shift quality, drivability, and overall gearbox performance.

We also replaced the transmission filter and gasket, along with changing the front and rear differential oils to ensure the drivetrain continues to operate at its best.

Regular transmission servicing is often overlooked, but we recommend carrying this out every 60,000 miles to help maintain performance and longevity.

Another Ford Ranger serviced and back on the road. ✅

Called out to a job in Colchester after our new customer experienced a knocking noise whilst braking, shortly after having an engine fitted by another garage in Ipswich.

Upon inspection, we removed the wheel and immediately found that one of the brake caliper slider bolt heads was missing. After removing the carrier bolt, it became clear the previous garage had snapped the bolt, attempted to drill it out, failed, and unfortunately left the vehicle in that condition.

We carefully drilled out the damaged bolt ourselves, but as the thread condition was no longer satisfactory, we carried out a proper repair using a helicoil insert to ensure everything was safe and secure.

It may not be a Ford, but it’s another satisfied customer safely back on the road! 👌🔧
