We have some Exciting News and Big Changes to match our growth and services we are continuously improving.

As of the 1st of February 2025 (5 days time) we will be changing our business name along with our logo which will stand out following our business vision.

What does this mean for Viking commercials?

This means we have invested in our knowledge, tools and the services we can provide as we have built fantastic relationships within the industry, new and existing customers, also in regards to parts for both commercial and private vehicles.

This enables us to keep our service charges affordable without compromise to quality while maintaining our very high standards for all of our work carried out with no exceptions.

So what will we be called as of the first of Feb you ask??

Our name and logo will be changing to…… check back on the 31st of January for our big reveal, the suspense and excitement is killing us but we promise it will be worth the wait 🤗.

Contact numbers etc will not change and we have been behind the scenes preparing for our growth as well as us both being on the tools.

There’s nothing but positivity with our plans so stay tuned 👀.

By the way this is our latest addition to our mobile services, our little Peugeot Partner, if you have any DPF issues then call us or drop us a message.

The previous owner of this van was quoted a substantial amount of money to repair the engine fault and was told the DPF needs replacing.

We looked into these particular vehicles along with our previous experience and found the DPF to be fine but the French version of Adblue ( ELOYS PAT fluid pump had failed ).
For a laugh I decided to get a quote from a main dealer and the response killed my sense of humour 💀🤣 ££££ 👎.

Symptoms were engine fault code, loss of power/limp mode.

The previous owner brought a new van and just wanted to sell it so we made an offer and now she is with us.

We carried out the necessary replacement involving a new PAT fluid tank, pump and new fluid, programmed the new component to the vehicle so it works as it should and she runs faultlessly. ( Much more financially friendly than the 4 figure repair quote for a new DPF).

Here we have a commercial breakdown from a returning customer, reported loss of drive on a HGV, our investigation found the differential pinion shaft snapped 🥲.

We drained out the old oil, removed the old differential, full components clean, sourced a replacement after diagnosis and fitted a new complete unit.

We proceeded to fill with the correct differential oil to manufacturer specifications, all done off our backs, mobile in a timely manner.

These are common for failing due to a few reasons as follows:

Removing your foot off the clutch too fast while loaded (clutch operation should be like a Barry white track, nice and smooth baby 😎😅).

Engaging 1st from reversing and pulling off without completely stopping which can and eventually will cause the pinion bearing to collapse causing excess play and movement or complete failure.

Hope this helps as it’s another day on the 🛠️ for us, glad to get this customer back on the road and the wheels turning 💪.

A returning customer called us as he was on his way to work and could hear a noise along with handling issues.

He left for work with a spring in his step, on his journey the drivers side spring didn’t carry the same enthusiasm and decided to fail and snap 🫣.

He done the right thing, pulled over and carefully drove it back to his residence and gave us a call.

We sprung into action 😅 (pun intended), a quick visual confirmed a snapped spring, ordered the new coil spring and stripped down the old one.

New spring mounted and fitted in -2 weather accompanied with a burst of heavy snow. Getting him back on the road in the same day was our main priority and he’s ready to bounce back into action for work.

There is no after pictures etc only before as my hands were representing an 🦅 claw due to the cold once the work was completed 🤣.

Back to happy motoring for the customer and I sat there for 5 mins in front of the heater reversing the frostbite 🥶🤣.

Another day on the tools 🛠️

We would also like to thank you all for your continued support and business this year. We have some big plans for 2025 so watch this space. Now time for a couples of days well earned rest.
