🔸 Whats the first modification you should make to your Triumph TR2-6?
Strengthen your Chassis!

It’s no secret that TR’s are renowned for having a weak Chassis, even Triumph themselves knew this, and developed their own chassis strengthening kits for their works cars.
The kits we sell are direct copies of the genuine works cars strengthening from the factory, and how every TR should’ve left the factory.

The most essential being the rear Differential mountings which as most TR owners will know are notoriously prone to breaking the pins and cracking the mounting brackets.
We have repaired / strengthened countless numbers of car where this has been the case.
That knocking noise from the rear of your car shouldn’t be ignored…. 😉

🔸 Brought this one back from the dead ☠️
This lovely looking 1963 Hillman Super Minx came to us for a heavy Steering issue.
But once on the ramp, a whole new level of issues arose. (See the later pics).
One of the worst undersides we’ve seen, and extremely dangerous! The Chassis was literally hanging on by a thread, and was so rotten that I could crush it with my hands.
Every single rubber bush was non-existent, there was no fluid in Gearbox, steering box, and the rear Diff because it had all leaked out. And much much more…
Anyway, to cut a long story short, the very patient client can now enjoy her classic while the weather is still fairly dry, with the luxury of new floors, new inner Sills, full cavity Wax injection, new Chassis sections throughout, and a full SuperPro polyurethane bush kit to stop things wobbling around like before and much more work carried out.
Still a bit to do on this car, but at least it’s safe and solid to use and we’ll have it back during the winter for the next phase of work.

Just a complimentary detail (god, I hate that word….) …wash and polish and it’s ready for collection.

🔸 Good bit of progress on the Seat Leon powered mid-engined Ford Transit Connect this afternoon.
Spent a few hours ensuring the engine and subframe sat square, by carrying out countless measurements.
When we were happy with the basic geometry setup and wishbone / subframe position we fabricated our own box section subframe to hold it all together.
We’ve opted to also keep the Seat Leon subframe and wishbones for ease and also keep it all simple for when something breaks or needs upgrading as the Leon shares the same platform as a Mk4 Golf, parts are readily available.
We worked out the camber, and ride height and temporarily made some steel tube uprights, tack welded into place with a horizontal brace to keep it from moving.
The next job is to make up some rose jointed arms to allow toe adjustable. We also realised that the chassis legs will need notching and then reinforcing to clear the upright coilovers. Once everything is fitted, we’ll measure it all again, and remove it all for welding properly, cleaning up and then powder coating.
But at least the van is now sat on all fours, at ride height and we are happy with how everything is positioned and sits. 👍🏻

‼️ So excited for what we are building away quietly in the background, and can’t wait to announce it all soon once it’s completed and finalised.
Including our lovely Megan who is currently giving WOLF Developments a logo / brand revamp, building a high-end Website with integrated E-commerce shop, automated Email Eco systems, and even a newsletter sign up campaign.
This should all be live, up and running next week if all goes to plan. Then comes a long and slow transition period where you’ll see some changes to our online presence, offering the same quality service that we do now, but so much more. - but you’ll have to bear with us… this is big task!

We are even looking at suitable options to expand our workshops, with more on-site facilities, and more staff but this is proving more difficult than we expected.

We are always looking at ways to move forward, and lead the way 👌🏻

🔸 Complete SuperPro Suspension Polyurethane front and rear suspension Bush upgrade on the 1963 Hillman Super-Minx.
Suspension completely stripped down, cleaned, painted, greased and reassembled. The Top fulcrums were also assembled incorrectly previously, meaning that the Camber was way out. So that was rectified before reassembly.
Whilst we had it all apart, we took the opportunity to clean, and underseal the areas of chassis, and cross members that are prone to trapping muck and moisture.
