Is your mobility scooter fully charged but won't move? It’s one of the most common calls we receive from new owners.

You’ve charged your scooter, switched it on… and it won’t budge.

Instead, it just keeps beeping.

Don’t panic… there’s usually nothing wrong with it. It’s very likely to be in freewheel mode.

Switch the scooter off, move the freewheel lever back into drive mode, then switch your scooter back on again. You should be ready to go (and the beeping should have stopped).

The lever varies between scooters, so if you’re unsure where yours is, it’s almost always at the back or just underneath the rear of the scooter.
